REMEMBER THE PERSECUTED CHURCH AS YOU WORSHIP THE RISEN KING ON SUNDAY, RESURRECTION DAY

In 2016 over 90,000 Christians died for their faith, that is one Christian death every six minutes. This is due in part to regime change in countries invaded and bombed by the United States. In Syria, before the current war, Christians were a protected minority, and in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, as evil as he was, Christians flourished and prospered as long as they stayed out of politics. Now Christians are almost nonexistent in Iraq, and ISIS continues to crucify and behead Christians in the part of the country they control. If Assad is deposed in Syria, and regime change occurs there, undoubtedly Christians will face the demonic wrath of ISIS Islam.
This Resurrection Day (Easter), as you worship the risen King, please remember that your brothers and sisters in the faith are suffering horribly. Pray for their strength, and pray that if Trump continues throwing bombs around the world that decent leadership will come to power. Obama caused regime change in Egypt and Christians are suffering horribly, indeed, on Palm Sunday, as Christians worshipped, the Islamic State bombed two churches and 44 more Christians became martyrs for their faith.

Will Christianity Perish in Its Birthplace?

EMBRACING THE BEAST by Jeff Wingo

Saint John on Patmos by Gaspar de Crayer

Saint John on Patmos by Gaspar de Crayer

Those who desire to follow Christ as a true biblical disciple will find that the world will not appreciate your efforts, no not in the least. I think of the recent Christian martyrs in the Middle East and elsewhere. It seems that the spirit of antichrist is gaining more power and influence to destroy the witness of Christ.

Some of those martyred may not belong to the same church group that I do, but nonetheless, if they had faith in Christ, His sacrifice on the cross for their sin, and faith in the power of His resurrection, then they are just as much a Christian as I am.

Now, that does not mean that I subscribe to the ecumenism of the Roman church, other mainline denominations, or any denomination for that matter. The religious systems that most of them espouse these days are mostly anti-biblical, but that does not diminish the plain and simple faith of those who have discovered true saving faith in the power of the gospel apart from religious acts and rituals of the flesh .

To be clear, I believe in the simplicity of the Christian faith. Jesus never meant that to be saved from the power of sin required great devotion to a church system, eating a communion wafer, climbing a 1,000 steps on ones bloody knees to kiss the feet of a crumbling, decaying statue of a long dead saint, or other works including baptism. Baptism itself does not save, nor does it turn a sinner into a saint. At that point all you have is a wet sinner with a false sense of salvation.

The Bible is clear that to be saved from sin requires only faith in the gospel which is this:  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;   And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…(1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

That is the gospel of Christ, and salvation begins with simple faith that Christ obtained that salvation when He was on the cross–He took the wrath of God that I deserved. Jesus is our sin-bearer, He became that sin before God the Father and the Father poured out His wrath in so much power that Jesus lost the sense of His Fathers presence.

My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? Matthew 27:46

What more could I add to that? Truthfully, there is nothing I can add and that is why religious systems and works of the flesh will never produce salvation; because those things are an attempt to work around the simplicity of the gospel. If works could produce eternal salvation then Christ would not have faced the cross. At that point the cross would be a worthless act. But the cross is far from worthless–it is actually the power of salvation:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16).

So we are back to the simplicity of the cross. The gospel of Christ is the power of salvation. Not works, not baptism, not the cup of wine or the communion wafer, or the blessing of a preacher or a priest–the GOSPEL and ONLY THE GOSPEL.

“For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Faith and only faith in the gospel produces the power of God leading to the salvation of a sinner–“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

Paul said that the word of faith for salvation is in your heart and in your mouth–“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach” (Romans 10:8).

And that faith, that simple faith, is able to produce salvation because it believes the simple gospel message:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:9-10, 13).
Coptic Egyptian Christians moments before they are beheaded by ISIS militants in Libya.

Coptic Egyptian Christians moments before they are beheaded by ISIS militants in Libya.

When I saw the video a few months ago of the Egyptian Coptic Christians being beheaded for their faith in Christ by ISIS several of the men said, “Yeah, Lord Jesus Christ.” Think of that for a moment–“Yeah, Lord Jesus Christ.”FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED! Its that simple, yet it is also that profound.

Why I have I called this post Embracing the Beast? Its simple. The world and the world system that lies in the lap of the evil one refuses to bow the knee to the only one who can save from the power of sin. Instead they embrace the philosophy and religion of the Beast, which is a Dragon, that Serpent of old, the Devil, who refused the God of heaven and in turn he became a Beast.

The world system hates the simplicity of the gospel of Christ, and so those who choose the Beast act like the Beast, who was a murderer from the beginning.

God sent John the Baptist as a prophet, the last of the Old Covenant prophets, and he was beheaded by a beast named Herod (Mark 6:16).

Herod is just a prophetic picture of the Beast, and the Beast system called Babylon the Great. At the end of days a Beast will rise from the depths of the abyss and bring ruin and destruction to humanity. But before that there is one thing this Beast will do: He will compel his followers to join the Beast system and receive an image in their mind, and a mark on their flesh (Revelation 13: 15-17).

Those who follow the Beast will be branded in their soul, and in their flesh, just like common cattle; and they will become beasts. In that way, those who follow the Beast will fully embrace their godless master: and become marked beasts themselves.

What of those who simply believe the saving gospel of Christ? They will not embrace the Beast and so they will be beheaded–just like the Coptic Christians who simply by faith called upon the name of the Lord–“Yeah, Lord Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 20:4:
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Will you by faith believe the simple gospel of Christ, or will you embrace the system of the Beast?

Choose life, choose Christ. But be warned: those who refuse the Beast system will face the fires of persecution. Once the Holy Spirit releases His restraining power this world system will degenerate into Babylon the Great. And the Beast system will begin the work of its evil master, who is the epitome of what it means to be a Beast.

Embrace Jesus Christ and by faith believe the gospel. Yes, true Christians will suffer persecution, but for those who are saved a glorious future is waiting, because “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

THE OFFENSE OF CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION: A SIGN OF THE END OF DAYS by Jeff Wingo

800px-The_Denial_of_Saint_Peter-Caravaggio_(1610)The Denial of Saint Peter by Caravaggio, 1610.

There are many signs of the end of days in the Bible. Jesus and the prophets and apostles gave numerous signs that we can see today revealing the truth that we are indeed living near the time of the return of Christ. Wars and rumors of war, pestilence and disease, economic chaos, earthquakes, strange weather, signs in the heavens, etc.

But have you ever considered the sign of the offense of Christian persecution?

Jesus told us that Christian persecution will increase in the last days, and as we have seen over the past year, it seems that in the Muslim world it is open season on Christians. Jesus said because of persecution many in the church will be offended; in other words, because of persecution many Christians may fall away because the sight of persecution has placed a stumbling block or impediment in their way, and the sight of persecution causes them to stumble in their faith. To quote Thayer’s comments regarding the word offend (Greek skandalizō), he says, that it means “to cause a person to begin to distrust or desert one whom he ought to trust and obey; to cause to fall away.”

Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me” (John 16:1-3).

Could worldwide persecution cause millions of 21st century Christians to become offended at Christ and abandon the faith?

What if the time came for the persecutors to put you out of your church because you believe the Bible, and you hold to Christ alone by faith? Would you be offended at Christ because of that?

Paul told us that “all that live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution” (2 Tim. 3:12), and Jesus said, “and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake, and then shall many be offended, and shall betray on another, and shall hate one another” (Matt. 24: 9-10). Jesus also added, “the servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you” (John 15:20).

And we all know how the spirit of antichrist persecuted Jesus.

Jesus said there are some people whose heart is like a stony place. When the Word of God is sown in their heart they receive it with joy. But, that person has no root in himself, but has a superficial experience with Divine truth and does not permit it to make its way to the innermost recesses of his soul. (Thayer).

Jesus said, for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended” (Matthew 13:21).

Christ_at_the_Cross_-_Cristo_en_la_Cruz

Right before Jesus was crucified he said that His death would be an offense–to His followers.

Then saith Jesus unto them, “All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.  But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.  Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.  Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice” (Matt. 26:31-34).

Don’t allow the offense of Christian persecution to cast a stumbling block in your heart.  It is easy to walk away from Christian persecution in the United States because we have so many other things to occupy our minds with. We don’t have to pay any attention to it–and a great part of the church in America does ignore Christian persecution overseas–BECAUSE THEY ARE OFFENDED BY IT.

Jean-Léon_Gérôme_-_The_Christian_Martyrs'_Last_Prayer_-_Walters_37113

But never forget: those who are dying right now are martyrs for the faith of Jesus. They are in the line of fire by a powerful manifestation of the spirit of  antichrist. And it is not going to end anytime soon. As a matter of fact it will probably get much worse before the return of Jesus.

Revelation 6: 9-11: And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:  And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Revelation 12:11:  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 13:7:  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Daniel 7:21:  I beheld, and the same horn (Little Horn–the Antichrist) made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

Revelation 17:6: And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus…

Revelation 20:4:  And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Please don’t ever be offended by Christian persecution. Pray for Christians to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and pray for grace and strength for their moment of trial. This life is so fleeting when compared to eternity and the Glories of life in the New Jerusalem where God Himself will wipe away every tear shed by His persecuted saints.

Revelation 21: 4: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

EZEKIELS WHEELS AND UFOS: DOES A LINK EXIST? by Jeff Wingo

Ezekiel's_vision

Engraved illustration of the “chariot vision” of the Biblical book of Ezekiel {1}

What did Ezekiel see when he saw the wheel within the wheel? Was he an eyewitness to a UFO event? What secrets does his vision reveal and how does it relate to UFO and alien phenomena?

When I was doing the research on the chapter Ezekiel’s Wheels and UFOs in my book, Alien Antichrist, I was actually very surprised by what I uncovered in the Bible. I did not realize that what Ezekiel saw in the chariot vision of the Merkabah actually reveals some of the secrets of UFOs and also explains why there are UFOs in the first place! Let me explain, but first, lets read a passage from Ezekiel to put the discussion in its proper perspective.

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.  And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.  And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the colour of burnished brass.  And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings. Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.  As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle. Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.  And they went every one straight forward: whither the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.  As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.  And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning (Ezekiel 1:4-14).

Ezekiel describes what the Hebrews call the Merkabah, or war chariot of God. He begins to describe the vision as a great cloud and a fire which appears to be enfolding upon itself, in other words, a great rolling fire. In the midst of the fire he sees four angelic beings,  called “chay” or living creatures. {2} It is in Ezekiel chapter ten that we find the prophet using the word Cherub or Cherubim, which is “a being of a sublime and celestial nature, in figure compounded that of a man, an ox, a lion, and an eagle (three animals which, together with man, symbolize power and wisdom).” {3}

Next the prophet describes the wheels that accompany the cherubim.

Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces. The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the colour of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel. When they went, they went upon their four sides: and they turned not when they went. As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four. And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels (Ezekiel 1:15-21).

Here Ezekiel describes the wheels and rings which accompany the cherubim. Last, he describes the LORD sitting on His Throne.

And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature was as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.  And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies. And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings. And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings. And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it. And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.  As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake (Ezekiel 1:22-28).

Here we have the complete picture: The Merkabah, which is the war chariot of God. It is intended to convey that the Lord is above all, and rules the affairs of men as a King on a heavenly Throne carried about by His servants, the cherubim. One of the reasons for the vision is to reveal to the nation of Israel (in Babylonian captivity at the time), “that even though Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed by the Babylonian armies, God still reigns as king, and His glory is always above the works and sinful actions of men.” {4}

I realize that this is a long passage of Scripture, however, before I begin to explain the words that relate to the UFO and alien phenomena, I had to put it all in its proper perspective. Truly the vision was of the Lord God, and Ezekiel tells us exactly what he saw at the beginning of the chapter: “Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God” (Ezekiel 1:1).

That Ezekiel saw a vision of God is clearly stated, not UFOs or aliens as the Ancient Alien theorists like to state ad nauseam.  As I said before, the vision was provided to Israel to correct their sinful wayward ways, and to provide comfort so that they would know that God had not abandoned them in Babylon, and that all was not lost. God is sovereign, and He still rules over Israel and the affairs of men from His Merkabah, or war chariot.

With all of that said, lets look at a few of the words the prophet used and see how they may apply to the UFO phenomenon that we see today. The following excerpts are taken from my book, Alien Antichrist, The Terrifying Truth about UFOs and Aliens, Antichrist, and the End of Days, copyright 2014©Jeffrey A Wingo, pages 163-164.

THE WHIRLWIND OF BURNING LIGHT

“It is in verse four that we see a whirlwind, a great cloud, and a fire infolding on itself, with a great brightness, the color of amber. The English word ‘infolding’ is a translation of the Hebrew word ‘laqach’ (Strongs H3947) which means ‘to flash about like lightening.’ It refers to a mass of fire which seems to be taking hold of itself, like a great sphere of rolling fire, or a great circle of light. {5} ‘This is best illustrated as a globe of fire with darting rays that pierce through the surrounding darkness.'”{6}

“Many UFOs appear to have these same characteristics–a glowing orb of light, or a circular craft with either a ring of lights, or emitting a ring of light that appears to radiate from various places on the object, or even the sending forth of a beam of light to the ground.”

“In the midst of the fire is seen the color of amber. ‘Color’ is the Hebrew word ‘ayin’ which literally means ‘eye, of the physical eye,’ and it also refers figuratively to the ‘mental and spiritual faculties.’ {7} Interestingly, in the New Testament, the Greek word for eye is ophthalmos which means ‘to see’ referring of course to the physical eye, but it also figuratively indicates the ‘eyes of the mind, or the faculty of knowing.’ {8} This is pertinent because it indicates intelligence, and most UFOs seem to be under intelligent control. An authentic UFO is in fact under intelligent control because it is a spiritual manifestation by a spiritual being.”

“The Hebrew word for the color amber is ‘chashmal’ which denotes ‘a shining (metallic) substance, electrum or bronze, or it could refer to brass which is made smooth, or polished.’ {9} According to Gesenius chashmal is believed by some to be a valuable metallic substance called orichalcum which is a type of metal mentioned in many ancient writings; it was said to be more brilliant than silver and second only in value to gold. Chasmal is also translated by the word electrum which is a naturally occurring alloy of gold, silver, and other metals. The color electrum is a pale yellow or yellowish white, and so it was often called pale or white gold.”

“All of the words described here were used by Ezekiel to explain a spiritual vision, and every one is interesting when compared to UFOs and other related phenomena. Consider the word laqach. It describes a great circle of light, or it could even be a pulsating circle of light—or a glowing orb—which likewise describes many UFOs. When laqach is used in conjunction with chashmal then it is possible to have metallic looking shining circle of light–again a classic UFO.”

“Given the nature of the phenomena a fallen angel could produce a UFO using a glowing orb of light, or it could present a manifestation which appears as a circular craft with lights–again the classic UFO that all of us are familiar with.”

In my next post I will discuss a few more Hebrew words as they relate to the wheels and the rings that Ezekiel saw. I think you will find that discussion just as fascinating.

untitledAs most of you know the other day ISIS Islamic terrorists beheaded 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians. As if this atrocity is not enough, they also burned to death over 40 people in the country of Iraq. President Obama refuses, even now, to acknowledge that these men who were brutality murdered were Christians. He also refuses to acknowledge the origin of this threat as Islamic Terrorism. He said at a summit the other day that this is not Islam–THAT IS A LIE, AS IS EVERYTHING ELSE WITH THIS PRESIDENT! The ISIS terrorists killed these poor men because they were Christians–not just Egyptians–MR. PRESIDENT–THE ISLAMIC TERRORISTS MURDERED CHRISTIANS.

Please pray for the persecuted church. They need our prayers and they need hope. As you saw, they realized their final hope was in the person of the Living Savior, Jesus Christ. During the Tribulation a great multitude of slaughtered Christians will stand before the Lamb and sing a new song, the Song of the Lamb.

After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;  And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.  And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.  And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.  Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.  They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes (Revelation 7: 9-17).

MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, AND THE NEW WORLD ORDER by Jeff Wingo

Avvakum_by_MyasoyedovThe Burning of Avvakum Petrov at Pustozyorsk, Russia in 1682;  Painting by Grigoriy Myasoyedov, (1897).  {1}

It has often been said that politics makes strange bedfellows, and that saying is equally true especially when it comes to the unhealthy mix of politics and religion. All you have to do is look at history to see that politics and religion, when coupled together as a ruling system quickly degenerates, and becomes corrupted, oppressive, and evil. Look  at the bloody history of the Roman Catholic Church in Europe, and examples in Protestant history such as John Calvin and the execution of Michael Servetus in 1553. While the flames were engulfing his body, Servetus was heard to cry out, “Jesus, Son of the Eternal God, have mercy on me.” Servetus didn’t tow the doctrinal line with Rome or Calvin, and the results are left with history.

That’s why I am a strong advocate for freedom as enunciated in our United States Constitution. The framers, and the chief writer, James Madison, clearly understood that when the church rules in political affairs ugly things begin to happen. Likewise, when politicians create law and exercise power without the legal restraints placed upon government through the Constitution, and the guaranteed protections offered to the people by  the Bill of Rights, tyranny also begins to raise a crushing fist of iron upon the principles of freedom and democracy.

It is quite evident that our leaders in government these days, especially President Obama, have come to believe that those legal restraints no longer apply, and that the Bill of Rights has been permanently suspended. While we are not quite there yet, if we continue on the path set before us, I fear it won’t be long before we will hear the sound of jackboots pounding the pavement on the streets of America.

These things should come as no surprise to those know Bible prophecy. Scripture informs us that the walls that separate the independent nations of the world will gradually fall and develop into a one world system; a brutal totalitarian system administered by the mystery of iniquity and the spirit of antichrist; and this is already happening with the formation of the New World Order created by powerful elitists like the Illuminati, world bankers, Industrialist, and other occult parties.

According to the book of Revelation this one world system will be called Babylon the Great, and its influence will reach every corner of the globe. Its spiritual partner is Mystery Babylon, called the Mother of Harlots because she gives birth to the many different religious systems that we see today.

As an American, and a natural-born citizen of this country, I do believe deeply in freedom. What that means is that I am free to pursue life, liberty, and happiness, as I see fit under the laws of God and man. I thank God everyday for the freedoms we enjoy, and I do not take it for granted because I know that  American freedom is something that many people only dream about.

As far a religion goes, I also believe in the free exercise of religion and faith. The pilgrims left England for the American shores 395 years ago in search of religious freedom, and that freedom is still available to everyone today.

That does not mean that I agree all religions are equal, I don’t. But what this does mean is that I am free to search the Scriptures and determine what truth is, and what truth is not. While I may strongly disagree with the Roman Catholic view, or the Hindu, or Buddhists view of truth, as an American I recognize that they also have the freedom to choose their own way. In the States if the free exercise of religion is taken away from one, it can be taken away from all.

As such then, I am free to read the Bible, worship God, and witness to others about the truth of Jesus Christ; and others are free to either listen or walk away, its their choice, and that is true freedom. This is a biblical principle regarding man and the power to choose: God calls men and women everywhere to repent, and believe the gospel; turn from sin, and turn to Christ.

  • Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 3:2).
  • From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17).
  • Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19).
  • And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment (1 John 3:23).

Since God created men and women with free will to choose I must respect that. While I am commanded to preach the gospel it is not my job to convert anyone, it is the Holy Spirit who convicts and convinces the heart to turn to Christ (Acts 24:25).

The reason I am writing this is because this is the clear difference between biblical Christianity and a religion like Radical Islam. If I minister the truth to someone about the exclusivity of Jesus Christ, and tell them that our salvation from sin is obtained by faith alone, in Christ alone, and they reject what I have shared, it would never enter into my mind to do them harm because of that rejection. Jesus taught us to pray for people and to have compassion on them because they are like lost sheep gone astray. Jesus never taught us that if our witness is rejected to pick up a sword and chop their head off–or as ISIS did today, burn someone alive like they did the Jordanian pilot that they had caged like an animal. The contrast is very clear, and strikingly so.

burnedalive-cropped-internal  This is nothing short of evil, and it is evil that is done in the name of God. I would not doubt if scores of reasonable Muslims who see this abandon the faith of Islam. If a god sanctioned this act then it reveals that the god of ISIS is satanic, nay even Satan himself.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

The “thief” Jesus speaks of here is Satan. He lies, and is the father of it. He inspires people to kill and murder each other, and it seems clear to me that Satan inspired ISIS to kill this poor man in such a cruel, sadistic, barbaric manner.

Pray for the family of Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh. The man was only 26 and had so much life ahead of him. His life has been cut short because of this murderous savage act.

Christ gives to us true freedom, but the coming New World Order will not be freedom at all, but one brutal image after another, and one crushing crisis after another as we move closer to the NWO through the spirit of antichrist and the Mystery of Iniquity.

This brutal act that we saw today on the news is but a foreshadowing of Antichrist, and of what will happen once the New World Order becomes fully established on Earth.

The Bible reveals in Revelation chapters 17 and 18, the coming Kingdom of Antichrist will be called BABYLON THE GREAT. The Antichrist will use acts of savage terror such as this to bring the world to its knees, as the spirit of the age brings the world fully under the terrible tutelage of groups such as ISIS.

The ultimate terrorist is Satan. He causes men to create groups like ISIS to fulfill his plan for mankind in the last days. When we see brutality such as this we are seeing the unveiling of the kingdom of Antichrist.

The only hope we have is Jesus Christ, the true Messiah for all people, for all time. If you do not yet know the love of Jesus then just call upon Him. He will reveal Himself to you, and He will save you from the power of sin, and the spiritual bondage that religions like Islam bring. Jesus died on the cross for you. He was buried in a tomb, and yet He conquered the grave and rose from the dead. He is waiting for you to make the choice for eternal life, and spiritual freedom. Remember, you have free will, and the choice is yours–choose wisely, choose life.

Even so, come Lord Jesus, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

PRAY FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH by Jeffrey A. Wingo

Christians are suffering horribly under the tyranny of the Islamic beast. According to an article by the BBC, the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) was formed out of al-Qaeda in Iraq in April 2013. {1}  It has since then spread to Syria and is now one of the most powerful jihadist groups in the Middle East. Its reign of terror continues to advance against the governments of both Syria and Iraq every day.

ISIS has targeted Christians and other minority groups and given them three choices:  convert to Islam, pay a religious tax (jizya), or death.  According to one spokesman for ISIS, “if they refuse this they will have nothing but the sword.” {2}  And as we have seen, nothing but terror, brutality, and death come from this satanically energized group.

As ISIS continues its reign of terror, Christians are brutally butchered, crucified, raped, and systematically destroyed. Centuries old Christian culture is ravaged and annihilated and Christians are forced to flee as the monstrous beast continues its reign of terror in the region.

Please pray for the persecuted church in Iraq and Syria. They need our prayers to sustain them in this brutal trial. Men, women, and children are suffering and many are dying a martyr’s death as the West waffles and plays political games, especially here in the United States.

OUR BLESSED HOPE

Our only hope in the world is the return of the King. At the Second Coming Jesus will destroy evil and Satan will be consigned to the abyss; then the Millennial reign of Christ will begin. The Great Physician will bring healing and peace to our weary planet, and He will bring justice as the government of the world rest on His shoulders.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6).

The Kingdom of God is not of this world

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence (John 18:36).
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee (Titus 2:11-15).
