THE KEY TO RECOGNIZING SIGNS OF THE END OF DAYS by Jeff Wingo

The Siege and Destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans Under the Command of Titus, A.D. 70, Oil on canvas, 1850, David Roberts.

During the recent blood moon eclipse, it was brought to my attention that a certain well-known pastor had predicted that Christ would return September 27-28th. Obviously it did not happen. Earlier in the month we had the Shemitah, which supposedly occurred on September 13; this also spurred a string of predictions regarding the imminent collapse of the American economy. That didn’t happen either. Not that it couldn’t happen, but it didn’t happen like some people had hoped and predicted. In other words, the end of the world predictions were all wrong once again.

Then, to my utter amazement I discovered another prediction! Another Christian leader predicted that the end of the world was going to happen on Wednesday, October 7th. The funny thing was, I didn’t discover this failed prophecy until the next day, Thursday, October 8! WRONG AGAIN!

If another Christian leader sets a date for the end of the world, or the return of Christ, mark that person as a false prophet. Most of them won’t apologize, they just try to spin it like they didn’t do anything wrong. This reminds me of the kid with his hand in the cookie jar; he was caught, but he won’t admit a thing.

Predictions like these are always going to be wrong! How can I be so positive in that statement? Because these predictions come from the minds of prophetic wannabe’s who aren’t really satisfied with Bible prophecy as it is written, and so they have to embellish circumstances, and in the end they always prove to be wrong. The result is that real Bible prophecy is tarnished and discredited, and thousands of people end up with damaged faith. That is the fruit produced  by the prognostications of the false prophets in todays church.

There is an answer to this madness: stop it and read the Bible.

REAL BIBLE PROPHECY

Joel 2:30-31:  And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Notice that Joel says that there will be a “blood” moon, but it comes when the sun goes dark (or begins to go dark, since the moon reflects sunlight). But the key here is that the blood moon happens right before the Day of the Lord; a day called “great” and “terrible.”

Jesus added to Joel by saying:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matt.24:29-31).

Notice that the celestial signs, which are a harbinger of the Second Coming, happen after the Tribulation. Not before, but after. This time the moon will not reflect light because the sun will be darkened.

THE TIMING OF THE ARRIVAL  OF ANTICHRIST IS FORETOLD IN SCRIPTURE

In the late 1980’s I heard a prophecy teacher say that the Holy Spirit revealed to him that Mikhail Gorbachev, former leader of the Soviet Union, was the Antichrist. I also heard a Pentecostal minister say that the Holy Spirit revealed to him that when Richard Nixon died, the Tribulation will begin. Well, old Gorby is not the Antichrist, that is plain to see, and Nixon died in 1994, 21 years ago, and the Tribulation hasn’t started yet.

AGAIN, FALSE PROPHECIES FROM THE MINDS OF MEN WHO DO NOT KNOW THE MIND OF GOD!

So, what does the Bible say regarding the appearance of the antichrist? As it happens, Paul gave us a series of events regarding the time when the of Man of Sin will be revealed to the world. Did you know that?

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,  That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (2 Th. 2:1-3).

Notice that just as Paul admonished the church at Thessalonica not to be shaken or troubled in their mind about these things, we too are not to be rattled by false prophecies coming from some of these well-known Christians.  Just because a person is in some kind of Christian leadership position, that does not mean that they also make a good prophet, especially if they ignore the clear teaching of Scripture not to set dates; all that does is tarnish the name of Christ, and upset the faith of many people.

Secondly, Paul ties the gathering of Christians with the Second Coming of Christ. The gathering is the rapture, but notice that it does not happen until four clear and distinct signs appear in the world.

  1. There will be a great apostasy. This is different from the general apostasy we see in the church today. The Greek here reads “the apostasy,” referring to something unique. Some render it “the falling away.” It refers to a total abandonment from Christianity by those in the church. It comes from a root referring to a bill of divorce. In other words, mankind will divorce the very heart of our faith: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and biblical salvation by faith in Christ.
  2. The revelation of the Antichrist, the Man of Sin.
  3. An open display of satanic supernatural power unlike anything so far seen in the world, from the beginning of time, to this day.
  4. The Man of Sin will present himself to the world as God, and demand worship. He will set in a Temple-like structure and commit the Abomination of Desolation predicted by both Daniel and Jesus (Matt. 24:15; Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11).

When we see these four things we will know for certain we are near (or in) the time of the Great Tribulation, and the Second Coming of Jesus. Don’t be shaken by the prophets of today. Let them blow and huff as they spew out their “prophecies.” Don’t lose your peace and be disturbed by any of it.

You now have four distinct signs by which you can understand the times. Have faith in Christ, and stand on the firm foundation of His Word.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (2 Peter 1: 19-21).

THE BIBLICAL BLOOD MOON AND THE DAY OF THE LORD by Jeff Wingo

This past weekend we saw the final “blood moon” of a tetrad (a series of four consecutive lunar eclipses), which happened to fall on several of the Jewish Feasts, in particular Passover, and Tabernacles.

Since the Jewish calendar is based on lunar cycles, the fact that a total lunar eclipse fell on a Jewish Feast day is not an uncommon event. According to Earthsky.org, in 21 centuries a tetrad fell on Passover and Tabernacles 8 times. Here is the chart from the Earthsky website:

1. 162-163 C.E. (Common Era)
2. 795-796 C.E.
3. 842-843 C.E.
4. 860-861 C.E.
5. 1493-1494 C.E.
6. 1949-1950 C.E.
7. 1967-1968 C.E.
8. 2014-2015 C.E.

So, it is not as uncommon as John Hagee and Mark Biltz make it out to be. To compound the issue, as far as this series of tetrads have to do with Israel, 3 of the 4 lunar eclipses were not even visible from Israel. The last lunar eclipse, which occurred Sunday, September 28, 2015 was only partially visible in Israel, “which may be observable for a short while before sunrise.”

The problem I have with all of this is that some Christians were predicting that the rapture was going to take place on Sunday, which obviously did not occur.

But, the question remains, could this series of tetrads, falling on Jewish feast days, actually point to end-time events? Its possible, and I would not discount that. The Bible does mention signs in the heavens as a precursor to the Day of the Lord. However, I do believe we should be careful tying these events to the return of Christ until it is abundantly clear that something strange and unusual is going on. To do so can cause irreparable harm to the cause of Christ, and possibly damage the faith of some.

Just using common sense and logic we can see that before the rapture, or the our gathering together with Christ, several things must occur first.

  1. The great apostasy must take place.
  2. The Man of Sin (the Antichrist), must be revealed.
  3. The restraining influence of the Holy Spirit must be released so that the Mystery of Iniquity can be revealed (the revelation of Antichrist, and total lawlessness on the planet).
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (2 Thess. 2:1-3).

As Paul writes here, don’t be shaken by false words. I fear that many people may be turned away from Christ, or their faith may be shaken, because of  fear mongering, and the false hope of a rapture of the church before the time.

As Paul states, the gathering of Christians, which is the rapture, and the Day of Christ (or, Day of the Lord), will NOT take place until the falling away occurs, and the Antichrist is revealed to the world. It’s that simple.

I hold to a post-tribulation understanding of the rapture, but even if you believe in a pre-tribulational rapture, this verse still stands true: the rapture will NOT happen until after the apostasy occurs and the Man of Sin is revealed.

The Bible is clear that strange unusual signs will be seen in the heavens before the return of Christ, but these may be supernatural signs designed by God. I am of the opinion that these signs may be so clearly beyond the normal course of nature that it will be abundantly clear that something out of the ordinary is happening.

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven (Luke 21:11).

As you can see, Jesus ties events we have now, earthquakes, famines, and disease, with supernatural signs in the sky. The Greek word for fearful sights is phobētron which refers to something in the heavens that causes terror, and strikes fear in those who see it.

Furthermore, the great signs referred to here is “a sign, prodigy, portent, i.e. an unusual occurrence, transcending the common course of nature.” It also refers to “signs portending remarkable events soon to happen.”

I don’t know about you, but the lunar eclipse the other night, which occurred on the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles, wasn’t a fearful, frightening sign in the heavens. Indeed, it was a sight to behold, a bit of beauty in the darkness of night that pointed to the glory of Almighty God, who set the whole course of nature in motion.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork (Psalm 19:1).

Just something to think about.

THE SIGN OF THE DAYS OF NOAH by Jeff Wingo

The Building of Noah’s Ark by Französischer Meister um, 1675

I usually find that most Christians who are waiting for the signs of the end times usually point to the nation of Israel as the main sign of the end of days as revealed by the biblical prophets; and rightfully so, it really is a miracle that the small Jewish nation has survived this long, and that is because Israel is a major player in the end times scenario.

The other main sign that most Christians point to, and are waiting in anticipation of, is the rapture of the church. I have written on this blog and in my book, Alien Antichrist, that the pre-tribulation rapture is unfortunately a false hope. Even a cursory examination of the relevant biblical passages such as Matthew 24:29-31 prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the harpazo or rapture event occurs when Christ steps forth from eternity into our time and space dimension. At that time He sends forth His angels to gather the elect (those saved or born-again) from every corner of Earth. The dead in Christ rise first then the living saints will be transformed in the twinkling of an eye into the immortal, glorified state of the saints of God; and as the Scriptures teach, “so shall we ever be with the Lord“(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

But there is one sign that many Christians, and others, seem to overlook–and that is the sign of Noah, or I should say, the sign of the days of Noah. Let’s take a look at what the Messiah had to say regarding the social conditions of Earth and how this relates to the timing of His Second Coming.

Matthew 24:37- 39: But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be; For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be.

It is interesting that Jesus provides us with a small glimpse of the social conditions of the pre-flood world. As you read the passage (and the other passage in Luke 17) is becomes clear that Jesus links His Second Coming  with the days of Noah which were days filled with violence and corruption;  indeed, the social conditions of the day were corrupt to the core. Not only was the Earth filled with violence, but humanity, as God originally created mankind, was on the verge of genetic extinction–that one fact is a game-changer in the prophetic scenario, and for a very good reason.

During the days of Noah the Earth was invaded by an extra-dimensional, genetically superior, race of beings. As you will see, that one factor is why Jesus linked the conditions on Earth at the time of His return with the strange events of Noah’s day. Therefore, it is very foolish to lightly dismiss the events of Noah’s time–because those strange events will happen once again, in our time, according to the biblical prophets. Let’s take a look at Genesis chapter six which relates the story of the appearance of the giants, also called Nephilim, or Earth-born fallen ones.

Genesis 6:1-2, 4:  And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,  That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose….There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

3426957-satan-fall-milton

It is evident that at some point in time a group of fallen angels invaded Earth and seduced the daughters of men. The Book of Enoch (Chapter 6) elaborates on the Genesis text and says that 200 Watcher angels left their heavenly estate (see Jude vs.6-7),  and invaded Earth, descending upon Mount Hermon; once there they formulated their wicked plans to corrupt the human genome by abducting the daughters of men from the local population.

Our English text says, “they took them wives of all which they chose,” meaning that the fallen angels took by force the human females they desired, and through this unnatural union produced the Giants or Nephilim. This sinful action caused almost all of mankind to become so genetically corrupt that God was forced to act by sending a great worldwide flood to cleanse the Earth.

Don’t you find it strange that Jesus linked the story of Noah’s Day to the social atmosphere that will be prevalent on the Earth at the time of His Second Coming? Could it be that one of the signs of the last days is the return of the Sons of God and their hybrid offspring, the Nephilim?

One of the reasons that led me to that conclusion was the fact that according to the biblical text Earth is going to be invaded once again by the fallen Host of Heaven–the Bible says that there will be an inter-dimensional war waged by the forces of God against the dark forces that dwell in the atmospheric regions of Earth.  The rebel Cherub and the fallen Host of Heaven will be cast to the surface of the Earth–but this time the invasion of Earth will be caused by the judgment of God–that is official alien disclosure. The interesting thing about all of this is that if the people of Earth want aliens, God is going to give mankind more aliens than anyone could ever dream of; but unfortunately it will not be the kind of aliens many people had hoped for.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,  And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him (Revelation 12:7-9).

Once Satan and the other fallen angels are cast from the spiritual dimension to Earth a final warning of the coming judgment is issued from the portals of heaven:

…Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time (Revelation 12:12).

Will we recognize this sign from heaven, or will we be just as deceived as the rest of the world? Will we fall under the satanic spell of the supernatural alien visitors, or will we realize that the time of the end is here and prepare our hearts to meet the challenges of the coming Great Tribulation?

The next sign that will befall Earth is when the Alien Antichrist Beast invades the Temple in Jerusalem causing the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Jesus, Daniel, and Paul (Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11; Matthew 24: 15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4).

A note about the Book of Enoch: I have received several rebukes about using the Book of Enoch in this post as I did. I think everyone knows that Enoch is not Scripture, nor do I believe it is Scripture. Even the book itself says that it is NOT to be included in the Cannon (Bible). EVEN the Apostle Paul quoted from the Greek writings of Epimenides in Titus 1:12. Epimenides was a semi-mythical 7th or 6th century BC Greek seer and philosopher-poet. AND THAT QUOTE IS IN THE BIBLE!!! By the way, that is not the only quote by Paul from a Greek source.

In my research I also use The Complete Works of Josephus; it also is not Scripture as everyone knows, it is a commentary, and no commentary is inspired–Adam Clark, John Gill, John MacArthur, Albert Barnes, etc.; all of them are the thoughts of learned men regarding the Bible.

Thanks for asking.

CHRISTIANS IN THE TRIBULATION by Jeffrey A. Wingo

Many Christians honestly believe they will not have to face the Antichrist, the False Prophet, and the coming Great Tribulation; and there are many reasons for this.

Chief among the reasons for the continued belief in a pre-tribulation rapture is really just a lack of reading the pertinent biblical text for what they say. For instance, the Bible does reveal when Christ will return to planet earth.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. ” ( Matt.24:29-31).

This verse reveals when Christ returns to earth. Notice it says, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days.” That is the timeframe of the Second Coming. When Christ does return He will send His angels to gather the elect, and that my friends is the true rapture of the church. The question is who are the elect?

Many try to explain all of this away as the Jewish elect, and claim that it does not refer to Christians. That however is not accurate because many times Christians are called “the elect” in the New Testament.

For instance, the Apostle Paul wrote the following verses to Christians:

Romans 8:33: “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.”
Colossians 3:12: “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering..”
Titus 1:1: “Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness..”
1 Peter 1:2: “Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.”

The Apostle John wrote the following two verses about the elect:
2 John 1:1, 13: “The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; The children of thy elect sister greet thee.”

It is very clear that Paul and John are writing to the church; and so the elect here does refer to Christians. In each verse the Greek word used for the “elect” is eklektos (1) which means “picked out, chosen; chosen by God; to obtain salvation through Christ; Christians are called the chosen or elect of God. (2)

The same Greek word used for “elect” in these verses is the very same Greek word used twice by Jesus at Matthew 24:31: “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect (eklektos) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” It is the same Greek word Jesus used at Mark 13:27 which describes the same event: “And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect (eklektos) from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.”

Yes, the very same Greek word used to describe the church is the same Greek word used to describe the elect who are gathered to Christ at the Second Coming. Some may argue that in the Olivet Discourse Jesus was speaking to the Jewish nation; but I would counter that Jesus was speaking to the Jewish Apostles who are called the “foundation” of the church–“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone..” (Eph.2:20-21).

So the elect at the Second Coming refers to those who are saved by the grace of God through Christ, both the Old Testament saints as well as New Testament believers, whether Jew or gentile; all are gathered when Christ returns.

It is interesting to note that a main argument in favor of the pre-tribulation rapture is that Christians do not appear in the book of Revelation after chapter four. That however is not true, and for the record take out your copy of the Bible and turn to the following verses for proof that the church is indeed found throughout the book of Revelation.

Christian martyrs are seen in the following verses: 6:9; 7:9; 12:11; 13:7; 14:12-13; 17:6; 20:4-6. In Daniel we also see martyrs during the Tribulation 7:21 where the Little Horn (the Antichrist) is seen warring against the saints (the elect).

It should be clear by now that the elect does refer to Christians, and not just Israel as some would contend. Over and over again the church is called the elect of God, the very same elect that will be gathered at the end of the Tribulation.

In fact, Jesus told us when the resurrection of the saints (both Old and New Testament) will take place. The resurrection of the saints will take place “at the last day.” Jesus referred to this four times in the Gospel of John–6:39,40,44,and 54. The last day is the day of the resurrection of the dead saints and that my friends is the rapture of the church! The dead in Christ will be raised from the dead first and then those who are alive will be transformed to immortality in the twinkling of an eye (1 Thess. 4:15-17). All of this will take place after the “tribulation of those days;” and all of the dead saints will be partakers of the “first resurrection” which occurs after the Tribulation and after the visible, physical return of the Lord Jesus Christ (Rev.20:6).

It is very important that we understand that the rapture of the church will take place after the tribulation when Christ returns to our weary planet. This knowledge will help protect us from a deception which will be so powerful that even the elect could be deceived (Matt.24:24). What is this powerful deception? That’s for my next post.

I will be writing more on this in the future. In the meantime if you would like to know more about the end of days, the Tribulation, and the ominous Antichrist, then I would recommend my new book, Alien Antichrist: The Terrifying Truth about UFOs and Aliens, Antichrist, and the End of Days. WHEN CHRIST RETURNS TIME WILL CEASE by Jeffrey A. Wingo

For almost two thousand years theologians, false prophets, and various prognosticators have tried to predict the day of the Second Coming of Christ. All have failed because they did not heed the words of Jesus that no one will know the day and the hour of His return.

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matt. 24:36).

“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matt.25:13).

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father” (Mk.13:32).

It is very clear that no one will know the day or the hour of the Second Coming. But did you ever wonder why Jesus said that you could know season of the return?

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors” (Matt.24:32-33).

We will not know the day or the hour but we can know the approximate season because of the prophetic hints that are in the Bible. I am not going to give you a list of the “hints” as it were at this time, that is for a future post; but I would like you to search the Scriptures and see if you can find the budding fig leaves that He mentions here.

We cannot know the day or the hour but we can know the season or the approximate time frame of His return. The day or the hour of the return is impossible to know, and for a very good reason.

The information I am going to reveal here I have only previously revealed to others in private conversation to make sure I am not off track as it were. In other words, I wanted to discuss this with others who are more knowledgeable to make sure that I am not going beyond the Scriptures, and now I feel that it is the appropriate time to publicly reveal my understanding of this.

I as wrote in my book, Alien Antichrist, I previously held and taught the pre-tribulation rapture position. Because of my study of the Scriptures I have moved beyond that to a position that I consider to be a more biblical view of the rapture and the sudden appearance of Christ. I do not believe the Bible teaches a secret rapture, or a two-part Second Coming (and that is what the pre-tribulation position basically is; a two-part return–the secret rapture of the church and then the publicly visible return, where every eye shall see Him return).

When the Bible discusses the Second Coming it is always spoken of as an event that is sudden, quick, and very visible. In other words, every eye shall see Him, and all of the tribes (people) of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Christ will not come in secret for the church or anybody for that matter. When He returns everyone alive on the earth will witness the event. Notice that the time of His return is at the end of the Great Tribulation.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matt.24:29-31).

Notice that it says, “Immediately after the tribulation of those days…” The return of Christ is after the Tribulation of “those days” which of course refers to the Great Tribulation which He spoke about at Matt.24:15; this is when the Antichrist Beast commits the Abomination of Desolation by entering a rebuilt Jewish Temple in Jerusalem and proclaims himself to be the God of the earth (2 Thess.2:4).

After the tribulation Christ will send His angels with the sound of a great trumpet (vs.31) and they shall gather His elect (those saved or born-again) from one end of heaven to the other. THAT IS THE RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH. The trumpet here is the trumpet of the seventh angel of Revelation (Rev.11:15 ), and the last trump that Paul wrote about in relation to the rapture of the church (1 Thess.4:16-17). That is the rapture because at that moment the church is caught up by the angels and then “there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever” (Rev.11:15).

TIME SHALL CEASE

The point of all of this is that before Jesus makes His VISIBLE appearance time shall cease; the clock will stop ticking off the seconds, the hour hand will no longer move,, and time will standstill. In other words, the entire mechanistic movement of linear time will come to a complete halt in the entire universe. How do I know this?

The Scriptures say that “immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heavens…” (Matt.24:29).

Time stops and the amazing thing is, it is impossible to know for how long–a day, a week, a month, a year? A second, a minute, an hour, a day; one day, two days, thirty days? Do you see what I mean? Time will stop, it will cease to move forward on its ever onward course.

As a result the sun and stars are shut down, and since the sun does not send forth its light the moon will also cease to reflect light and become dark as well. Everything will be dark, and for how long????

That is the reason that Jesus said that no one would be able to know the day or the hour–BECAUSE TIME WILL STOP! At that moment there will be no time! Think about that for a few moments. No more time. That is why you cannot know the day or the hour of His return!

Then when God the Father decides that IT IS TIME–

“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matt.24:30).

When Christ returns time will stop for an undetermined period. The entire universe will be dark, and then a sign appears, the sign of the Son of Man. What is that sign? While I am not entirely sure, the Scriptures may hint that it is the Glory of God as the dimensional veil between our reality and the spiritual dimension is breached. Because Revelation 6:12-13 seem to indicate that when the sky goes dark, and the universe is turned off, that the heavens will depart like “a scroll when it is rolled together..” Isaiah 34:4 also seems to agree here that the heavens will “be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll.”

Both Testaments seem to indicate that time will stop, the lights in the universe will be extinguished, and the heavens, the sky, will roll back in a scroll like fashion to reveal the Son of Man in all of His Glory–the Glory of God will shine on the earth and the sign of the Son of Man will be the sudden appearance of the Glory of God and the Second Coming of Christ!

I look forward to the return of Christ; our planet is filled with sin and death and all kinds of evil. But when Jesus returns He will set everything right, He will bring healing, peace, and justice; and the earth and the universe will finally find rest.

Have a good Sunday, and find rest in the Lord.
Thanks for visiting.
