As I wrote in my last post, the spirit of antichrist is one of the driving forces of the age, and has been, since the ministry of Jesus Christ. The Apostle John said that there will be many antichrists and he is exactly right. In fact, with the advent of modern communications in the last century, and with the proliferation of the Web, the means of spreading the antichrist message is now greatly enhanced.

In the days of the Apostles the primary means of spreading the antichrist message was through the doctrines of incipient Gnosticism. Basically Gnosticism teaches that the material world is evil. It can only be overcome by the understanding of knowledge, i.e., usually secret or exclusive knowledge or gnosis. This special knowledge is usually depicted as a method of salvation or liberation from the material world, and is often  portrayed as superior to biblical salvation.

It is often thought by many scholars that the Gospel of John and the books of 1 and 2 John were written as a response to the Gnosticism taught by Cerinthus a contemporary of the Apostle.

Cerinthus taught that the material world was made by an inferior God. He also denied the virgin birth of Jesus, and he separated the man Jesus from “the Christ.” Cerinthus taught that “the Christ” descended on Jesus at his baptism but left at the crucifixion. Cerinthus also denied the bodily resurrection of Jesus teaching that it was a spiritual resurrection instead, and that Jesus will be raised from the dead as other men at the end of the world.

It is no wonder that Polycarp (a disciple of John), tells the story that one day the aged Apostle fled a bathhouse once he found out that Cerinthus was inside. “John, upon seeing the heretic turned around and ran toward the door crying out,  “Let us flee, lest the building fall down; for Cerinthus, the enemy of the truth, is inside!” {2}

That is why John wrote, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (I John 4:1).

John realized that the doctrines of Christ would come under heavy attack, and so he refuted the false prophets before they could gain a foothold in the church.

Cerinthus was just one of the many antichrists predicted by the Apostle. He taught many aberrant doctrines but one of the most dangerous, as far as a proper Christology is concerned, is that he separated Jesus from “the Christ” just as many cults do today. Note that John exposed Cerinthus through correct doctrine. John wrote:

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world (1 John 4: 2-3).

Here John says, Know ye the Spirit of God; in other words, this is the mind of the Holy Spirit and His revelation that Jesus is not to be separated from “the Christ” as Cerinthus had done. —ἐν τούτῳ γινώσκετε τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ Θεοῦ –know or understand the pnuema or Spirit of God. It is as if John is shouting as loud as he can–listen up, this is what the Holy Spirit says about the matter. 

John continues, Every spirit (whether human or angelic) that does not confess Jesus Christ  (Ἰησοῦν Χριστὸν) is come in the flesh IS NOT OF GOD.

The spirit of antichrist is clearly revealed here–if a spirit, meaning, a man or woman, or (as Paul declared) an angel from heaven (Gal.1:8), does not confess or declare that Jesus Christ (the anointed one) is come in the flesh–both as man, and as Christ, that is the spirit if antichrist.

Jesus Christ was not just an apparition or a manifestation of a spirit. He was a real living human man, and He was also Theos–God in the flesh. Everything that Jesus did was in His flesh. He was born of a virgin in the flesh, lived the perfect life of a Torah observant Jew in the flesh, and He died on the cross in His flesh; and when the risen Christ presented Himself to the disciples, his body was a physical, resurrected, and glorified human body–in the flesh. To deny that Jesus came in the flesh as the promised Messiah or Christ then, is of the spirit of antichrist.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22).
 Notice also that Jesus is tied together with the Father. To deny that Jesus is the Christ is to deny the Father/ Son relationship. Even the Father testified before John the Baptist that Jesus is His Son in the flesh.
And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased (Lk. 3:22).
 That is why John revealed that Jesus is God in the flesh–a cardinal doctrine that almost every cult (including UFO cults in particular) deny.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God… And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.(John 1:1-2, 14).
 You just can’t argue with the truth revealed here by the Apostle John. He refuted the antichrist doctrines of Cerinthus, and he continues to expose the antichrist doctrines of the cults today, such as the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who twist this verse to their own peril as they follow the doctrines of another antichrist, Arius, who denied the triune nature of God and repudiated the deity of Christ.
But they are not the only cultic groups twisting the Scriptures. The world is full of antichrists, the many antichrists. Most UFO cults basically teach the same things:
  • Humans are the creation of a superior intelligence, i.e., genetic manipulation.
  • Aliens have propelled humanity forward  through evolutionary processes.
  • Jesus was created through artificial means; Jesus is just an enlightened man, one among many, such as Buddha, Krishna, etc.
  • God is just an advanced extraterrestrial being.
  • OR, the big antichrist doctrine preached on Ancient Aliens every week to millions of people: our ancestors mistook the otherworldly visitors, the ancient aliens, FOR GODS!

The spirit of antichrist is very clever though. Many cults that openly deny the incarnation may still confess that “Jesus Christ came in the flesh.”    Be careful though because many cults often redefine terms. They may sound Christian, and may use biblical terminology, but many subtly change the meaning of the words. To fully understand what they mean you must get below the surface and examine how the words are used in the light of biblical truth. Just because someone says, ” I believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh,” that alone may not convey what they really mean.

The spirit of antichrist is a liar and a deceiver and will openly or subtly deny the following:

  • That Jesus is the Messiah/Christ.
  • The relationship of the Father and the Son.
  • That Jesus is the unique Son of God.
  • That Jesus came in the flesh.

A rejection of any of these essential truths should send up a red flag that you are dealing with the spirit of antichrist. As I wrote in my book Alien Antichrist, if the nature of Christ and the Father are changed, the end result is the creation of a false Christ and a false God. It is in fact the creation of an alien god, a god alien to the doctrines of the Apostles of Christ.

When alien disclosure does take place I wager that the False Prophet will introduce the aliens as “brothers.” I also wager that they will in some way, either subtly or overtly, deny the Jesus of the Bible. Mark my words: The spirit of antichrist does not change–it only changes Bible doctrines into something else, something foreign, something–alien.

As I have previously stated, the Bible is the key to biblical discernment. Study it to understand the nature of God. Read it to hear the mind and heart of the Holy Spirit. Now is the time to prepare your understanding about the nature of Christ and God the Father, so that when the many antichrists do manifest, you will be able to confidently search the Scriptures and expose their error–thus saving yourself and those you love from the great deception that is coming.

When alien disclosure happens, and the False Prophet acts in his role of an intermediary between the aliens and humanity, that is not the time to try to understand a proper Christology–NOW is the time.

DISCERNING THE TIMES: THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST by Jeff Wingo

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 1 John 2:18

 One of the signs of the last days according to the Apostle John will be the appearance of many antichrists. Yes, there will be the Antichrist, and he will come near the end, but in the meantime there are many lessor antichrists laboring to influence billions of people everyday.

Not that they will be insignificant because each of them will cause damage to the cause of Christ and the Kingdom of God; and in their own twisted way each of them will teach attractive doctrines drawing many people astray into spiritual darkness and error.

This is the battle of the kosmos or the world system as defined by the Apostle. It is more than just saying, “that preacher is teaching false doctrine.” It is the prevailing attitude of the age, which is thoroughly anti-God and anti-Christ.

John wrote “and the whole world lieth in wickedness” (1 John 5:19); this refers to “the ungodly multitude, the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ.” {1} Interestingly, the word “wickedness” as it is used here, is the Greek word poneros which is used “pre-eminently of the Devil or the evil one.” {2}

In other words, John is saying that the kosmos largely consists of the ungodly sinful mass of humanity lying under the power and influence of Satan–who is the master antichrist.

That is why John said there would be many antichrists. As long as the world endures, we will never experience a shortage of antichrists.

In fact, they are everywhere–in churches they occupy pulpits and teach classes, in the public arena they are the teachers and academics who influence millions of children and college age men and women. They occupy prominent places in the media, using that medium to influence billions through thousands of TV and radio channels each and every day. They use their influence on the Web, in books and magazines, and on billboards along the highways of America, shamelessly promoting products using pornography of various degrees.

In the area of religion they are responsible for the creation and perpetuation of thousands of cults. Indeed, the many antichrists are leading billions of people astray into spiritual darkness through fear, intimidation, and manipulation (and this includes the many antichrists in the Christian church. That is why Christianity is becoming a spiritual wasteland for true Christians).

Sadly, there are billions of people being diverted from the biblical Jesus Christ into a multitude of religions. Once there, they strive to earn their way into heaven, Nirvana, or whatever vision of eternity they are trying to reach.

Unfortunately, John was right–as long as Christ tarries, there will be many antichrists working the kosmos or world system. And all of it is under the influence of the evil one. He knows exactly what he is doing as he leads the Kingdom of Darkness; it is an ingathering destined for an eternity in hell, forever cut off from the Kingdom of God.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13-14).

Are you among the few on the narrow way? If not, you are on the broad way, and Jesus already told us where it ends. Jesus said He is the “way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), so His way is a narrow way, a very narrow way that leads to one place–the cross.

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:  And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:  After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.  After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.  And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

Indeed, according to the spirit of the age there are many ways to heaven. But according to Jesus and the Apostle Paul there is only one true path–a narrow way that leads to the cross.

An essential component of the gospel is that Christ died for our sins. In other words, without Christ there is no hope, for we cannot save ourselves from the effects of sin–no one else on this planet is good enough, pure enough, or holy enough. That is why Jesus stepped out of the halls of eternity into our time/space dimension. The only remedy is found in the biblical Christ who died for sinners on the cross of Calvary. Truly, He is the only Savior, He is the only way, and He is the only TRUTH. All other ways are of the spirit of antichrist. Biblical salvation is a very narrow way.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation…For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:9,10,13.

Men are so simple, and yield so much to necessity, that he who will deceive will always find him who will lend himself to be deceived.  Machiavelli

In truth no one likes to be deceived. No one wants to follow a man or woman who is willing to lie and deceive, yet many of us have at times fallen for false teachers over the years; and I chalk that up to our own sinful proclivities and the fallen world in which we find ourselves. In other words, it can be very easy to be deceived, yet with time discernment should develop, and as the deceivers come they are easier to detect, or so one would hope.

It will come as no surprise to many of you that the biggest lies have come to humanity from religion. One who purports to represent God, or comes under the guise of spirituality; that person should be above reproach, yet many times that is not the case.

Take the Serpent in the Garden for instance. He was a Nachash, a shining one {2} (a spiritual being; an enchanter), who came to Eve with the biggest lie in the universe, “eat the fruit and your eyes will be opened and you will be as the gods, knowing good and evil.” In confusion Eve responds, “but God said that we should not eat of it, or touch it, or we will die.” With a look of concern, and a touch of sarcasm, Nachash replies, “no Eve, you shall not surely die…..”

You know the rest, and so do we all. We live with the consequences of that lie every day, and humanity will continue to physically and spiritually die until the Day of the Lord occurs and the King returns and makes things right in this world again.

Until then we need to wisely use discernment in this world. Most of the people I meet are just fine, they are good, and they are motivated by good intent. But there are others who come around whose motivation is not as good; and usually I realize quickly that something is wrong, or could be wrong. It’s just a trait I have developed over the years, a gift which has been enhanced by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Yet there are deceivers who appear from time to time who seem to mesmerize others with fancy speech, big promises, and predictions of wonderful things to come.

Couple that ability with the power of religion and you have a toxic mix; and to the undiscerning it can be a dangerous mix, as we have seen with the disastrous results of various cults over the years such as the death of over 900 members of the Peoples Temple in Jonestown Guyana in 1978 under the demonic leadership of the “Rev.” Jim Jones, and the Heavens Gate cult led by “The Two,” Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles (Nettles died in 1985).  As many of you know, Applewhite led a group of 39 devotees to commit suicide in 1997 in order to join up with a UFO alien craft that was supposedly following the Hale-Bopp comet.

The Bible reveals that in the end of days deception will take on a supernatural dimension. That is the unspoken, or unrealized, aspect of Bible prophecy. Many Bible teachers do not take into account that when the Antichrist and the False Prophet appear they will be supernaturally energized by the dark powers that rule in the heavens. They will possess such a power to affect the human mind in order to deceive, not just a few followers, but billions of followers! Think about that for a minute, it’s actually frightening!

It will truly be a Wonderful Deception  backed by immensely powerful lying signs and wonders.

A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land;  The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Jeremiah 5:30-31   

Did you notice that the verse says “the priests bear rule by their means.” That can be restated as saying that the priests rule not by the authority of God, but by their own authority (as the authority of a man, a dictator).

But the amazing thing here is that the people love to have it so! In other words, the people desire the false doctrines and the authoritative overbearing spiritual leadership–because of what they get out of it!

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.   Matthew 7:15-20
 The fruit Jesus is speaking of are the doctrines that the prophets will teach. True Bible doctrine will line up with what the Holy Spirit has already revealed in the Scriptures. If someone comes to you speaking wonderful things, yet it flies in the face of Scripture, just realize you are listening to the doctrines of devils, and deal with it accordingly–ignore it, flee from it, run out the door of that church and don’t look back!

When the False Prophet speaks the text says that he will “speak like a dragon.” What the text is saying is that the False Prophet will speak like the drakōn or dragon. In other words, his speech will be like the speech of the Satan! His words will be Satan’s words, and his miracles will be Satan’s miracles!

Not only will his words be those of the Dragon (an alien reptilian image by the way), but his words will be backed up by POWERFUL MIRACLES.

That is why Jesus warned us that men do not gather grapes from a thorn-bush, nor figs from a weed like a thistle. Good fruit (teaching, doctrine) comes from a good source. The grape is plucked from a growing, thriving, grape bush, and a delicious fig comes from a growing, living fig tree.  But a grape that is taken from a thorn-bush is a false grape, it’s not real, and a fig that is found in a thistle plant is not right–its something false, and something unnatural.

So when powerful personalities appear on the world stage and say all kinds of wonderful things, listen to what they have to say, compare that carefully with Scripture, weigh the evidence, and understand the truth of Jesus’ teaching about grapes and figs–AND DONT FALL FOR THEIR WONDERFUL DECEPTION!

The miracles won’t matter–I don’t care if they have the power to raise the dead or produce fruit out of thin air. If they deny the Bible they are false and teaching false doctrine. Always be ready to identify false prophets. The Scriptures will give you the discernment you need to overcome their supernatural words and works; and the Holy Spirit will use that to reveal the true nature of supernatural evil in these last days.

ALIENS, UFOS, AND MYSTERY BABYLON by Jeff Wingo

There are many things in this world that appear to be mysterious. However, one thing that is not mysterious is the Christian message; it was meant to be openly shared, proclaimed, and published all over the world. Indeed, it is the message for all people for all time.

When Paul was speaking before  King Agrippa and Festus he said (referring to the gospel), “For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner” (Acts 26:26).

But one thing that is certain is that hidden mysteries abound in world culture, religion, and secret societies. In fact, in Paul’s day there were many mystery religions, and these still exist in modified forms today.

In Paul’s day the mystery religions intentionally kept hidden from public view their various cult secrets and mysteries; these were only reserved for the initiated; and that is also how most religions and secret societies function today.

The mysteries of the cult are intentionally kept hidden from the outside world and revealed only to initiates, usually in piecemeal fashion. And in most cases the deep secrets of the cult are only revealed to a trusted few, the Adepts, or those few at the top who attain a specific level of secret hidden occult mastery and knowledge. The Adepts of todays mystery religions are the masters of their various secret societies; they are the  gatekeepers or rulers who use the lower level initiates like cattle–that’s why the lower level initiates are intentionally kept in the dark regarding the real secrets and agenda of the group.

The Bible reveals that in the end of days a mystery will emerge from the shadows and reveal itself before the entire world. Indeed, this will be an all consuming mystery and most of the people of Earth will blindly follow its rituals and dogma–simply because they are spiritually blind as to its true purpose.

The Apostle John is shown an astonishing vision. As most of you know, it is a vision of a religious entity that will emerge in the last days; it is truly the unveiling of pure evil, the horrible glory of a satanic religion that will merge with the Antichrist Beast in order to conquer the entire planet.

St_John_the_Evangelist_at_Patmos_(Tobias_Verhaecht)“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:  And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH” (Revelation 17:3-5).

Mystery Babylon will encompass all of the hidden evil that exists in the world. It will be a satanic masterpiece implemented by the precise and meticulous planning of Satan, along with the willing assistance of fallen men and women who are usually of great influence and power in the world. Indeed, the pieces of Mystery Babylon are almost together as it manifests  all over the world in various ways; through religion, the New Age Movement, many occult groups and secret societies, the hidden agenda of world bankers and industrialists, and world leaders, despots, and a multitude of iron-fisted dictators.

Mystery Babylon manifest in the philosophical and ideological spheres of power and education, and the half-dozen or so media empires that rule the world through thousands of TV channels, movies, books, magazines, and the worldwide web.

One of the manifestations of Mystery Babylon, one that is a very integral component of the satanic end-game, are UFOs and aliens. They will be a major player as the dark pieces of the New World Order coalesce, in fact, UFOs and aliens will lead the world to fully accept the NWO and its later manifestation, Babylon the Great (see Revelation chapters 17 and 18).

It is my opinion that UFO and alien disclosure will force the world toward the formulation of Babylon the Great. The spiritual war is about to radically change as the billions on Earth are confronted with the new reality that an advanced extraterrestrial civilization does indeed exist. That my friends will be the game changer as the people of Earth come to terms with the fact that humans are not the most advanced beings in the universe (this will be an incredibly powerful deception, without the Bible and the Holy Spirit few will be able to see through it).

The tragic reality however is that most people will simply accept the aliens at face value; it will never dawn on them that they are fallen angels in the flesh, and that they actually represent one of the most dangerous forces in the universe; they are the spiritual enemy of mankind and the alien end-game is to destroy humanity and ultimately prevent the Second Coming of Christ from taking place.

Sadly, many people who profess Christianity will accept the alien visitors as well because spiritual discernment, more often than not, doesn’t exist in most churches these days. The proof of that last sentence is found in the fact that spiritual apostasy is marching through most Christian churches and seminaries today just like the legions of Titus breached the walls of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and pulled down both the city and the Temple to the foundation stones.

Even though the Bible holds the key to understanding the end-times, it is an appalling tragedy that most Christians these days don’t read the Bible, and in most churches you would be hard pressed to find a Bible in the pews (or seats) or even anyone carrying a Bible to church.

The key to spiritual discernment is the Bible. God has provided everything that we need to understand the last days before the return of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Within the pages of your Bible you will find comfort in a time of need, correction for a wayward life, assurance of forgiveness of sin and eternal life through the Son of God, as well as protection from apostasy and spiritual deception. The Holy Spirit will use the Bible to comfort and guide us as we face the end of days; and He will enable us to face the rising tide of evil that is about to sweep over this world with the force of a destructive Tsunami.

“And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.”   Luke 17:26

A NEW TOWER FOR A ONE WORLD RELIGION by Jeff Wingo

In yesterdays post I wrote about the origin of Mystery Babylon. It is the spiritual power behind every false religious system known to humanity. As you know, in the beginning there was a common knowledge about the one true God.

Shortly after the fall, and mans expulsion from the Garden, another religious system arose–the way of Cain. God intended for man to offer animal sacrifice as a temporary cover for his sin. Yet Cain offered not the proscribed sacrifice but the fruit of the ground–the product of his labor, an offering of his own choice, a bloodless offering. According to the text, God refused the offering of Cain but encouraged him to do well, otherwise the sin in his heart would overtake him.

 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?   If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him (Genesis 4:6-7).

As you know, Cain refused the counsel of the Lord and killed his brother Abel. Cain left the presence of God and went to the Land of Nod which means “wandering, or exile;” it is the permanent state of those who refuse Gods way of salvation and choose instead their own way.

In the process of time mans religious proclivities drove him to develop various gods and systems of worship which drastically differed from what God originally intended. To make matters worse, a group of fallen angels invaded the planet and brought corruption and ruin to the human race (Genesis 6). The resulting judgment of God caused the flood to overtake the antediluvian world during Noah’s day, wiping out sinful humanity and the hybrid creatures called Nephilim.

After the flood, men once again refused the way of God, and so under the leadership of Nimrod they began to construct the Tower of Babel, which means “Gate of God.” In other words, it was the intention of Nimrod to establish contact with the pre-flood deities through a spiritual gate or portal at the top of the Tower, so that humans could once again join with the “gods” and partake of the genetic nature of fallen angels to become like the Nephilim, the mighty men or gods of the pre-flood world.

And this brings us to the present, because men are still constructing  towers to reach into the heavens in order to contact God on their own terms. The dark truth of the matter, indeed, the hard truth, is that they are in contact with spiritual powers, but the one’s that the Apostle Paul warned about in the sixth chapter of Ephesians.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph.6:12).

THE ECUMENICAL MOVEMENT

Isn’t it interesting to see some of the developments in the ecumenical movement? The ringleader of all of this is the Vatican. Ask yourself, how many once strong Protestant denominations are now only weak, watered down shells, and how many once strong Evangelical churches and leaders now capitulate to the overtures of the Holy See?

I was not surprised when a video taken by the late Episcopal Bishop Tony Palmer surfaced at a convention with Kenneth Copeland. The video is of Pope Francis delivering a conciliatory message to Copeland and other Evangelical and Protestant leaders. The overtures of Rome never end. The result is that Copeland, James and Betty Robison, Rev. Geoff Tunnicliff, Rev. Brian Stiller and Rev. Thomas Schirrmacher, of the World Evangelical Alliance, and John and Carol Arnott, of the former Toronto Airport Vineyard joined the Pope in Rome for a three-hour meeting and lunch. Later Joel Osteen and others also met with the Pope.

These are actually startling developments for those watching who are aware of church history. Rome has not changed her stance about Protestants and Evangelicals, and other Bible believing Christians.  Her anathemas still stand that repudiate your and my faith in Christ alone–that salvation is obtained by faith alone in Christ because of his substitutionary death on the cross at Calvary.

The Roman Catholic church convened the Council of Trent in 1545 in an attempt to counter the doctrines raised and supported by the Reformers. The Roman response to Luther and the other Reformers was to “curse” them (let alone kill them when they could). They used the biblical word “anathema” which is a curse from God. In other words, those who disagree with Roman Catholic Dogma are, according to these statements cursed by God–but in reality the curse only comes from Rome and the dark spiritual powers that control and drive her.

  • CANON 9:  “If any one saith, that by faith alone the impious is justified; in such wise as to mean, that nothing else is required to co-operate in order to the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any way necessary, that he be prepared and disposed by the movement of his own will; let him be anathema.”
  • CANON 12:  “If any one shall say that justifying faith is nothing else than confidence in the divine mercy pardoning sins for Christ’s sake, or that it is that confidence alone by which we are justified . . . let him be accursed”
  • Canon 14: “If any one saith, that man is truly absolved from his sins and justified, because that he assuredly believed himself absolved and justified; or, that no one is truly justified but he who believes himself justified; and that, by this faith alone, absolution and justification are effected; let him be anathema.”
  • Canon 23: “lf any one saith, that a man once justified can sin no more, nor lose grace, and that therefore he that falls and sins was never truly justified; or, on the other hand, that he is able, during his whole life, to avoid all sins, even those that are venial,–except by a special privilege from God, as the Church holds in regard of the Blessed Virgin; let him be anathema.”
  • Canon 24:  “If any one saith, that the justice received is not preserved and also increased before God through good works; but that the said works are merely the fruits and signs of Justification obtained, but not a cause of the increase thereof; let him be anathema.”
  • Canon 30:  “If any one saith, that, after the grace of Justification has been received, to every penitent sinner the guilt is remitted, and the debt of eternal punishment is blotted out in such wise, that there remains not any debt of temporal punishment to be discharged either in this world, or in the next in Purgatory, before the entrance to the kingdom of heaven can be opened (to him); let him be anathema.”
  • Canon 33:  “If any one saith, that, by the Catholic doctrine touching Justification, by this holy Synod inset forth in this present decree, the glory of God, or the merits of our Lord Jesus Christ are in any way derogated from, and not rather that the truth of our faith, and the glory in fine of God and of Jesus Christ are rendered (more) illustrious; let him be anathema.
  • This council declares that if anyone disagrees with it, they are damned. {1}

This is what Pope Francis said on June 25,2014:

“No one becomes Christian on his or her own! Is that clear? No one becomes Christian by him- or herself. Christians are not made in a laboratory. A Christian is part of a people who comes from afar. The Christian belongs to a people called the Church and this Church is what makes him or her Christian, on the day of Baptism, and then in the course of catechesis, and so on. But no one, no one becomes Christian on his or her own.”{2}

“There are those who believe they can maintain a personal, direct and immediate relationship with Jesus Christ outside the communion and the mediation of the Church. These are dangerous and harmful temptations. These are, as the great Paul VI said, absurd dichotomies.” {3}

You see, Rome has not changed, and for Protestant and Evangelical leaders to believe otherwise is to be deceived and to deceive others. Rome has never, and will never, repudiate or repent of the Council of Trent, she cannot. To do otherwise would be to admit she is not infallible.

And by the way, the church that Pope Francis was talking about aren’t the Baptist folks down the street, it’s the Roman Catholic Church–for him, and others, there is no other church.  The Jesuits have been working hard to bring the “separated brethren” back home–to Rome. And don’t forget that Pope Francis is a Jesuit.

The website Worthy News said in response to this:

“Evangelicals have long maintained that one must become ‘born again’ and true faith is not a religion, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  While many evangelicals are members of churches of many different denominations, the common denominator amongst Evangelicals is the need for a “personal relationship” with Jesus Christ as the sole mediator to God. As Evangelicals often quote, “For there is one mediator between God and Man; the man Jesus Christ” (1 Timothy 2:5) {4}

Friends, it does not matter what the developments in the ecumenical church world become now or in the future, don’t fall for it when the “walls” come tumbling down between Rome and Protestant, Evangelical, and other church bodies. Always maintain your distance from this movement. It is dangerous and will lead to deep spiritual deception in the last days before the Tribulation and the return of the Messiah.

Personal salvation is not found in any church, it is only found in Christ–for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Always remember the words of Jesus:

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.  And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.                                                              
Matthew 24:4,5,11,23-26

The book explains the critical role that the church of Rome will play in the last days as a Pope becomes the biblical False Prophet. That is why the Vatican and her astronomers are making statements about aliens, alien contact, and baptizing aliens. Arm yourself with biblical truth before the deception occurs. Jesus said that the deception will be so great that if it were possible even the elect (those saved or born-again) would be deceived by it.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect (Matt.24:24).

MYSTERY BABYLON by Jeff Wingo

The Bible describes a great end-time religious conglomerate called Mystery Babylon:

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:  With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.  So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.  And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:  And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.  And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
Revelation 17:1-6

Mystery describes Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots. That she is the originator of all of the false religious systems ever conceived in the history of the world is beyond dispute.  All false religions have their origin in the Mystery religions of ancient Babylon.

The history of Babylon goes back deep in antiquity, about 3,000 years before the Christian era. Nimrod was the founder of the city,  and he had a wife named Semiramis who, it is believed, founded the original Mystery Religion based on the promised seed of Genesis 3:15 (the first promise from God of a Savior-Messiah who would be born of the seed of the woman which eventually found its fulfillment in the Son of God, Jesus Christ).

The religion she founded was based on the supposed miraculous birth of her child Tammuz; and Semiramis and Tammuz are the original source of the Mother-Child motif as found in many ancient religions. In fact, this is the source of the Mother and Child in Christianity to this day. That is how powerful the original Mystery Religion of ancient Babylon is; its influence is still being felt to this very day. Semiramis_and_Tammuz

As the myth continues, Tammuz was killed by a wild beast, and later through cult ritual restored to life, a resurrection from the dead.

I’m sure by now that you may have noticed the similarity to the resurrection of the Beast in Revelation 13:3:  And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

 Tammuz was even worshiped by the ancient Hebrews; the prophet Ezekiel wrote about this pagan blasphemy as it was practiced in the Temple at Jerusalem.

Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD’S house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Ezekiel 8:14

It is absolutely amazing isn’t it! Are you shocked by this (if you did not know it before?). I am, and what shocks me most of all is how this dark cult found its way around the world. She was also known as Ashtoreth and Tammuz, Isis and Horus, Aphrodite and Eros (Cupid), and as Mother Shing Moo and her child in ancient China. In biblical times the Mother eventually became known as the Queen of Heaven, and the Prophet Jeremiah wrote about her influence among the Israelites.

The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Jeremiah 7:18; see also Jeremiah 44:17-19, 25.

I mean no disrespect to anyone, and I have no axe to grind with Catholicism, this is just the hard truth that we must face when we discuss the ancient origins of Mystery Babylon, the Mother of Harlots. We must follow the truth of history as we find it.

After Babylon fell to the Medes and the Persians in 539 B.C., they tried to dissuade the worship of the ancient Babylonian religion. However, as history testifies, the pagan priests of the Babylonian cult would not surrender their religious practice, and so they just moved the cult from Babylon to the city of Pergamum where eventually one of the seven churches of Revelation was founded (see Rev. 2::12-17).

The priests of the cult wore a hat that resembled a fish head; the headdress also bore the title “Keeper of the Bridge” which was a statement that reminded the faithful that they were the keepers of the way to the gods. This was later adopted by the Roman Emperors (who saw themselves as gods) and Latinized into the familiar Pontifex Maximus  which means “Major Keeper of the Bridge.” This same title was also adopted by the Bishop of Rome, the Pope, who is now known by all as the Pontiff. {1}  The ancient Mystery Religion of Babylon has influenced many cults around the world but none of them are as powerful as the Roman Catholic Church which adopted all of this and more into its doctrine.

Strange how we finally come full circle with Mystery Babylon isn’t it? Rome however isn’t the only major church to adopt Babylonian paganism into its system. Elements of Mystery Babylon are found in most churches today in one form or another. Consider the Evangelical church–today many have incorporated components of Eastern paganism with the adoption of yoga as a system of exercise, and many Christians use pagan meditation techniques (taken from the Catholic Desert Fathers) now called Contemplative or Centering prayer, entering the so-called silence as a way to reach God–this is nothing new, it’s just Eastern religion and other paganism dressed up for undiscerning Christians.

Many Word-Faith groups claim to use the power of “faith” to work supposed miracles–faith is not a magic force to be manipulated, it is simply trust in God, believing in His promises. And many of these groups also believe that they are “little gods.” That is also not a new doctrine–its ancient paganism dressed up for modern Christians, and with no surprise the Roman Church also holds to that doctrine, that a man may through Christ eventually become a god (just as in Mormonism).  The Catechism of the Catholic Church (1994) teaches on page 129: “For the Son of God became man so that we might become God. The only-begotten Son of God wanting to make us sharers in his divinity, assumed our nature, so that he, made man, might make men gods.”  Rather shocking isn’t it?

I could go on and on with proof after proof of the influence of Mystery Babylon, and others have written about it more eloquently that I have. But realize this: Anything that adds to Jesus Christ, any system of doctrine that adds to the gospel such as works, baptism, the communion wafer and wine, mysteries, magic clothing, amulets, icons, supposed prophetic anointing’s–anything that they may tack onto Jesus and the gospel is another gospel and is part of Mystery Babylon. The Holy Spirit is still calling out to all of us:

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Revelation 18:4

The gospel of Christ is so simple–it is so simple to understand that a young child can grasp it, yet so profound that Theologians have stumbled over it and have been confounded with it for almost 2,000 years; and the gospel is this:

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.. 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:9-10, 13.

That’s the gospel and that is the truth, anything else is just an example of Mystery Babylon and the spirit of antichrist in action–for there are many antichrists, 1 John 2:18.

THE TWO BEASTS OF REVELATION 13: THE SECOND BEAST by Jeff Wingo

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.  And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.  And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,  And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.  And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:  And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understand- ing count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. 
Revelation 13:11-18
As you can see from the above Scripture, the Second Beast comes from the Earth. The meaning is clear: The Second Beast comes from the Earth; Because he will arise from humanity. Unlike the First Beast who is a fallen angel from the Abyss (which is under the ocean or sea), this Second Beast is from the Earth, meaning he originates from the sons of men.
When John says, “I beheld another Beast,” the word another denotes another of the same type, i.e., the same kind of evil character. The distinct difference is that the First Beast is a fallen angel, a Warrior-King incarcerated in the dark chamber of Tartarus,  and the Second Beast is more inline with the idea of a Messiah-like figure, that of a Lamb; and this is in imitation of Christ, the Lamb of God (John 1:29).
The Second Beast comes to humanity clothed in religion, he appears to be a meek and lowly lamb but the words that come out of his mouth are that of a Dragon. In other words, he speaks as a representative of the Dragon. His appearance is what disarms the people of the world when he enters the stage to play his part in the end-time scenario.
As such then he represents Mystery Babylon and all of the spiritual elements that are incorporated into it. He is the personification of the Mystery of Iniquity that Paul wrote about (2 Thess.2:7); and in that sense he represents apostate Christianity.
Now this is where I am going to get myself into trouble with some folks; I do not say things to stir controversy, that is not my way, nor is it my intention to create a problem. In fact, I realize that I may lose some readers because of the following  comments, but I must be true to the Scriptures.
In my book, Alien Antichrist, I noted that today we are strongly inflicted with a disease these days; that being the spiritual plague of political correctness. On page 189 I wrote, “In order to correctly weigh the evidence though, we must consider the political, religious, and cultural climate we live with–because if we accept the political correctness that is swirling all around, it will blind us to the truth and taint our ability to properly discern the circumstances as they develop.” {1} And I stand by that statement regardless because it is true.  The False Prophet will be a human man and “as circumstances change his power will grow and his authority will be felt by everyone on earth.” {2}
The Holy Spirit is still speaking today–and one of the things He is whispering (for those willing to listen), is that you must leave Mystery Babylon behind. Mystery Babylon represents every false religious system known to humanity, and it is found in Evangelical Churches, Protestant Mainline Churches, the Roman Catholic Church, the Orthodox Churches and any other church system which relies on good works, rituals, the communion wafer, dead saints, supposed mysteries, or any other thing rather than Christ alone to attain eternal salvation. The Bible teaches that salvation can only be attained by faith alone, in Christ alone; He died for our sins, was buried, and three days later He arose from the dead, that is the gospel (1 Corinth.15:1-4). If any thing is added to the Gospel of Christ it is part of Mystery Babylon. {3}
Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

THE IDENTITY OF THE FALSE PROPHET
Symbolically the False Prophet is identified and represented with “two horns like a lamb;” in that sense we may identify him as a Messiah-like figure. Indeed, he will think of himself as a Messiah-like figure, the representative of God on the Earth.
The False Prophet will be the bridge-builder between humanity and the aliens when they do arrive.
As I wrote in my book, Alien Antichrist, several years before I started on the book I was trying to understand the identity of the Beast from the Sea and the Second Beast from the Earth. “When I finally understood that the Antichrist was not a human being, but rather a fallen angel, I also realized that the False Prophet had to be a human being, and possibly would act as an intermediary between the aliens and mankind.” {4}  That line of reasoning proved to be right once I placed a prophecy found in Daniel in its proper perspective. Here is the passage:
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Daniel 9:26-27
The prince that shall come is the False Prophet, not the Antichrist as some would erroneously believe. The False Prophet will come from the people who destroyed the city and the sanctuary. As most of you know, that event occurred in A.D. 70 when Titus and the Roman legions destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the Temple complex. “The ‘people’ were the Romans and the logical modern-day equivalent to the Romans is the spiritual and temporal power of the Vatican at Rome; ‘the prince that shall come’ is none other than the head of the Vatican, the Pope.” {5}
That should not come as a surprise when you consider that the only worldwide organization that could possibly function in a religious capacity like this is the Vatican.  They already see themselves as the mediator between God and man, and so in that sense a pope will fulfill Bible prophecy as the False Prophet to lead humanity to embrace the aliens. Indeed, the Vatican will mediate between humanity and the aliens, and become the Bridge-Builder between the two.
Is that why Pope Francis and Jesuit Brother Guy Consolmagno are talking about aliens so much these days? Both of them have stated that they would be more than willing to baptize aliens when they arrive. {6}  Don’t you find it rather strange that this kind of talk is coming from the Vatican?
Although many of you may disagree with me on this, I do think it is interesting that the Pope and his cohorts are communicating to the faithful that it is ok to believe in both evolution and aliens. After all those two topics do go hand-in-hand, especially when you place their pronouncements alongside TV programs such as Ancient Aliens, which also teaches to the masses the connection between aliens and evolution.
Perhaps the Vatican is positioning itself to be the intermediary between aliens and mankind; and when alien disclosure occurs, I would be willing to wager that a representative from the Vatican will be right alongside all of the scientists and astronomers who make such an earthshaking pronouncement. And it will be earthshaking because once alien disclosure takes place life will never be the same for any of us.
Once a disclosure event occurs, one that announces to the world that advanced, intelligent, alien life does exist in the universe, and that contact has been established; that one event should be the signal to those with wisdom that the Great Tribulation is just around the corner. Because according to Bible prophecy it won’t be long before the aliens arrive and show themselves to the world.
That event will be the lie that Paul wrote about. It will be the energeia plane’ or strong delusion that will deceive the people of the world (2 Thess.2:11). Once this strong delusion is released the Antichrist Beast will also be released–the Warrior-King will be set free to bring his reign of chaos to the world through an empire called Babylon the Great.
The shame of  all of this is that the ones who will be the least prepared for alien disclosure are Evangelical Christians and others. And the reason for this should be obvious–they erroneously believe that they will escape the horrors of the Tribulation through a pre-tribulation rapture.
Unfortunately, most of them will find out the hard way that there is no pre-tribulation rapture in the Bible, it’s just not there. In fact, the only rapture spoken of is when Christ visibly returns to earth.  And that may cause a great falling away and a crisis of faith for those trapped in the delusion that Christ will whisk them away from all of the troubles on the earth before all hell breaks loose.  Don’t be deceived by the doctrines of men–read the Bible for yourself, allow it to shape your doctrine and your worldview.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
