666: CALCULATING THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST, PART TWO by Jeff Wingo

Revelation 13:18: Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

In part one, 666: CALCULATING THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST, we looked at what the Apostle John really meant when we wrote, “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast…”

What we discovered is that the word count is the Greek word psēphizō (Strong’s G5585), means much more than just counting, computing, or adding the sum of a name to see if the name value equals 666. It also means to vote, as in a court of law, by casting a pebble into an urn, to decide a case by voting.

Now, as I explained, the Greek word psēphizō is related to another word, psēphos, (Strong’s G5586 ) which refers to “a small worn smooth stone, a pebble” used to cast a vote in court to decide whether the defendant was guilty or innocent; “in the ancient courts of justice the accused were condemned by black pebbles and acquitted by white.”

However, in order to come to a proper conclusion regarding a case the members of a jury must listen to all of the facts. Only in this way can one come to a logical conclusion and properly vote to acquit or condemn the defendant.

So, our task is to search the Bible, study the facts it provides, and in this way solve the enigma of the number of the Beast, 666.

KING SOLOMON: A TYPE OF THE ANTICHRIST BEAST

Without doubt, Solomon is one of the most enigmatic figures in the Bible. He begins his reign with the blessings of God, and it seems as if God showers Solomon with an over abundance of wealth and wisdom. Yet Solomon gradually drifted away from the wisdom and blessing of the God of heaven, for the hidden gnosis or knowledge of the god of this world.

“For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon. And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods” (1 Kings 11:4-8).

It should be noted that every one of these demon gods required human sacrifice. Ashtoreth was a cultic fertility goddess which resulted in the moral debauchery of the people through both male and female temple prostitution. This literally destroyed the foundation of the family and the nation, not only because of its immorality, but because it also included child sacrifice.

It should be equally noted at this point that these were not imaginary gods; by that I mean, these gods were empowered by the Fallen Ones–there was a real spiritual power behind these entities, possibly accompanied by a visible, tangible, manifestation before the people and the temple priests (the same type of visual manifestation found in many modern UFO accounts). There was a reality to these beings, a reality so intoxicating that it caused the kings of Israel and the people to surrender their will (individually and collectively), as well as their little children, to the image of the beast.

All of the gods listed here are essentially the same being: Milcom, Molech, Chemosh, Molech, Baal-hamon ,were also known in North Africa and Greece as the sun-god Kronos/Cronus. Molech or Moloch is also associated by the Romans with the god Saturn, an ancient cosmic deity worshipped by the Israelites during the 40 years spent in the wilderness with Moses, and later in the Temple proper by Solomon, Manasseh, and many of the other kings of Israel.

Amos 5:25-26: Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel? But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

Acts 7:43: Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

Saturn was seen as the devourer of his own children, and so others offered their own children to the image of this god, the image of the Beast. Symbolically we also see the devourer of children in Revelation 12:4: there the Dragon waits for the birth of Jesus so that he may devour him as soon as he is born.

Historically, the Greek chronicler Diodorus Siculus provided this description of Cronus, the Carthaginian fire god:

“There was in their city a bronze image of Cronus extending its hands, palms up and sloping toward the ground, so that each of the children when placed thereon rolled down and fell into a sort of gaping pit filled with fire.”

It is incredible that human beings could be this deceived that they would offer their children in this manner. We tend to think of ourselves as more sophisticated than ancient people; but today our culture (and cultures around the world) also continue this practice offering up little children to the image of the beast–the image of self and pleasure, through the ritual act of abortion.

The Symbol of Gold: Immortality, Power, and Idolatry

Gold is a symbol of wealth, power, and status. It is also not a bad thing in the Bible: Abraham was rich in gold and silver, the Mercy Seat on the Ark of the Covenant was made of pure gold, and the Wise Men brought the Christ child gold. Gold is also a symbol of idolatry, for instance the golden calf worshipped at the foot of Sinai. Historically, gold is likewise a symbol for immortality; in keeping with the ancient mystery religions, the old Alchemists vainly tried to turn base metals like lead into gold.

The alchemical goal is actually an attempt to turn humanity into the gold of the gods; it is an upward reach for the stars, to achieve an apotheosis without the need of the God of heaven. Many secret societies and the ancient Mystery religions also promised transformation or godhood to the highest adepts through the application of gnosis, or the knowledge of the gods. Solomon is an example in the Bible of a man who forsakes Yahweh, the God of heaven, for the secret gnosis of the Fallen Ones. In all reality it is a vain attempt: Solomon later filled with regret cried out, “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity” (Ecclesiastes 1:2).

The Bible exposes our minds to the enigmatic symbolism of the Antichrist Beast through Solomon, the backslidden king of Israel:

2 Chronicles 9:13: Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold.

Of course this gold came to Solomon because of his economic and military policies: Through heavy taxation upon the people, and through the ships and other traders employed by the king. A verse from Revelation 13 comes to mind. It exposes the economic policy of the New World Order once the Beast seizes the reins of power:

Rev. 13:16-17: And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

The number 666 is associated with economic and religious power. Babylon the Great will be a wealthy empire for a short period of time. In order to buy or sell though, a person will have to submit to the will of the Beast by means of the image, which is an occult initiation that imprints the mind with a living image of the Beast, and the mark which tags a person as the property of both the Beast and the empire of Babylon the Great.

Human sacrifice will become common place in Babylon the Great. The Beast will make war against the saints (Dan. 7:21), and in Rev. 13:7, the Beast continues his war against the saints, and in doing so he will overcome or conquer them ( Strong’s G3528 – nikaō). Daniel 8:24 says the Beast will corrupt and destroy the “mighty and the holy people.”

According to Revelation 11: 7 “the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them (Christians, the saints), and shall overcome (kill) them.” Rev.13:10 tells us that during this time the saints will be tried and this experience will test “the patience and the faith of the saints.” Rev.13:15 reveals that the cultic worship of the Beast will also test the saints of God because those who refuse to worship the Beast will be killed.

The religious aspects of Babylon the Great will so permeate world culture that the spiritual powers of the Beast, and the False Prophet, will be turned against the people of God causing them to become a sacrifice to Satan and the Beast system–so much so that the shedding of the blood of the saints will become a special type of spiritual communion among the followers of the Beast:

Rev.17:6: And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

During this time the saints of God will only be able to overcome the Beast “by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;” in other words, through death by sacrifice, and they will yield to this mainly because they will not have a choice, and so it will be said that “they loved not their lives unto the death” (Rev.12: 11), and their testimony for Christ will shine for eternity like a sparkling diamond (Rev. 20: 4).

Friends, the coming Tribulation is much more than some Christians have made it out to be. I realize that Bible prophecy is fascinating, but lets not have any illusions: it will be a very difficult time.

The Golden Throne of Solomon

“Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold. And there were six steps to the throne, with a footstool of gold, which were fastened to the throne, and stays on each side of the sitting place, and two lions standing by the stays: And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps. There was not the like made in any kingdom” (2 Chronicles 9: 17-19).

Here we see Solomon’s royal throne full of symbology directly related to the number of the Beast, 666. Of course we see items of wealth, ivory and gold, used to construct the throne. There is symbolism here as well but at this time I want to focus on the 6 six steps, and the 6 lions on each step mounted on both sides of the throne, giving a total of 12 lions. For it is here that we find the symbolism directly related to the Antichrist Beast and his number, 666. In a fascinating manner the triple 6 is also related to another throne, one that in the future may be found in Jerusalem.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3b-4: …and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The throne of Solomon with its three 6’s points directly to this throne, the Throne of God as found in the Temple in Jerusalem. The throne symbolism also points to the human heart, because in the New Testament the temple of God is the human body, the heart of course being the center of the mind and emotions, especially the will.

1 Cor. 3: 16: Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

God does give a very dire warning to those who would toy with the Beast and receive his image into the heart: “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are” (1 Cor.3:17).

We are made in the image of God. Of course the image is more than just the human body, nevertheless, the Holy Spirit does inform us that our physical body is a container for His presence, and if the temple is defiled by the mark or image of the Beast, the consequences are very severe (Rev.14:9-11.)

The symbolism of Solomon points directly at the Beast of Revelation whose name and number are revealed as 666. Solomon turned into the Beast. The rabbit hole goes deep here, because as I revealed in my book, Alien Antichrist, my hypothesis is that the Beast of Revelation was a king during the days of Noah. He ruled the antediluvian world as the King of Babylon, and spiritually Babylon has always opposed the Kingdom of God and the people of God. Could that be why Babylon occurs 286 times in 282 verses of the King James Bible? Babylon is always evil, and Gods people always have to deal with its evil and idolatry. In fact, Isaiah links Babylon and its evil king with the symbol of Gold:

Isaiah 14:14: That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

Historically, Babylon captured Jerusalem, the city of God, and made eunuchs of Gods royal people (Is. 39:7). Throughout history Babylon is linked with idols and false gods, and symbolically Babylon has always labored to capture the city of God and turn God’s people into spiritual eunuchs. The king of Babylon is still doing this even today through the surrender of biblical doctrine and truth by millions of Christians all across the world. Many churches have capitulated to the spirit of antichrist and have become spiritual eunuchs in the eyes of God.

One day a new Solomon will arise and take his seat on the Throne of God and rule the world through a global empire called Babylon the Great. Don’t try to become popular in the eyes of Babylon by compromising the great truths of the Word of God. Don’t yield to the spirit of Antichrist and become a spiritual eunuch for the Beast.

Revealing the Number of the Beast

Do you know how to calculate the number of the Beast? If we follow what the Bible has to say it will eliminate much of the confusion and useless speculation which has haunted all attempts to solve this enigma.

When the Apostle John wrote the Revelation he expected his readers to be able to calculate the number correctly. After all, he begins the verse with these words: “Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding count the number of the beast…”. In other words, John is saying the verse itself holds the key to understand the mystery–“Here is Sophia, which is the Greek word for wisdom. It specifically refers to understanding that is “broad and full of intelligence; used of the knowledge of very diverse matters.” Thayer says that it is “the intelligence evinced in discovering the meaning of some mysterious number or vision.” The word sophia comes from a root sophos which refers to someone wise, a skilled craftsman, a worker, a learned man, who forms the best plans and uses the best means to execute the plans.

So get ready, get your pencils sharpened, and allow the Bible and the Holy Spirit to guide us to the solution. The answer is not that difficult, and as you will learn, all of the answers are found in the history, the Law, and the prophets. Since the Bible is God’s book, where else would we look?

Calculating the Number

Revelation 13:18: Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

With wisdom and understanding through the Scriptures let us begin to count the number of the Beast.

The word count is a mathematical term. It does mean to “to count with pebbles, to compute, calculate, reckon.” But many people throughout the centuries stop there; and what they do is use gematria to try to match a name with the number 666.

This can work with certain names, for instance, many in the early church and others in later history applied this to Nero, the Roman Emperor from 54 to 68 A.D.. But do we use Hebrew gematria or Greek?

In our example the name of Nero Caesar, or Greek Neron Kaisr (Kaiser) equals the sum, 666. But is Nero the Antichrist? The truth is, he is a type of Antichrist because of his evil brutality against Christians, Jews, and others. But was he the Antichrist, the Beast John wrote about in Revelation? The answer is no, he was not the Antichrist. I have come to understand this because we are missing vital information needed to make a logical case proving the identity of the Antichrist Beast; and without that information we will be incorrect every time. That is why many people have been wrong and made fools of themselves and in the process, have discredited Bible prophecy in the eyes of the church and the world.

World Leaders Accused of being the Antichrist into Contemporary Times

Did you know that in the 1980’s a few Christians (actually quite a lot more than just a few) were running around passing the word from church to church that Ronald Wilson Reagan was the Antichrist? Count the letters of his name and I bet you will end up with three 6’s.

Look at his forehead, does that birthmark look like a dragon??? Of course not!

Or, that the leader of the now defunct Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, was the antichrist because he had a birthmark on his forehead that some kooky Christians said resembled a dragon (of all things).

Henry Kissinger, the Pope (doesn’t matter, just pick one), Adolph Hitler, Napoleon, Pol Pot, Mussolini (although some Christians thought he was the False Prophet), Joseph Stalin, Chairman Mao; and the following, especially among American Christians, Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and (not surprised here) Barack Obama. All of these men have been accused (sadly) by Christians of being the Antichrist!

So with all this calculating going on I went online and found an English gematria calculator, and I couldn’t resist: Jeffrey Wingo = Ah, sorry, its 858, thank God my fears have been relieved, I am not the Antichrist!

The Apostle John did not intend that we should go through all of these numerical gymnastics.

What John intended was that we would use wisdom, “Here is wisdom.” Then he says, “Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast.”

The word count is the Greek word psēphizō (Strong’s G5585), and it means to count with pebbles, to compute, calculate, reckon. It also means to explain by computing, in other words, to compute or put together the facts of a court case, to decide by voting.

Now in order to vote on a court case a jury must consider the facts of the case. Once the defense and prosecution have presented all of the facts the members of the jury must then consider those facts, and based on that information cast a vote of guilt or innocence.

So, in the ancient courts of justice, after the jury has heard all the facts, the accused were then condemned by either a black pebble or acquitted by a white pebble. That is what the Greek word psēphizō means, and that is exactly what I believe John meant when he wrote, “Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast…”

He didn’t mean to run off half-cocked and accuse political and religious leaders of being the Antichrist just because their name or title added up to 666. That is not using wisdom, but considering all of the facts of the case, Antichrist vs. God and the People of Earth, takes time, just like the time it takes to present all of the pertinent facts in a court of law.

The Number 666

“for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

Think about this: the number 666 is the number of a man. That being the case then perhaps we should find out all of the facts about that man. That research in turn will provide us with the identity of the man and demonstrate how he is related to the infamous number 666; and that information will allow us to properly calculate the number, correctly identifying the Antichrist Beast.

Here are some men (and one planet/god) in the Bible associated with the number 666, the number of the Beast:

King Solomon
King Nebuchadnezzar
Nephilim giants such as Goliath and others
Sethur
Adonikam
The planet Saturn–yes many of the ancient Israelites worshiped the planet Saturn.

Search the Bible for yourself and see if you make the connection between the number 666 and these men, and one cosmic deity, Saturn. Many Christians who read the Bible are actually startled to learn that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, actually had competition for worship in the Old Testament. In fact, many of the ancient Israelites worshipped Saturn during the period of time spent in the wilderness with Moses. Then, when they were settled in the land they went all out worshipping this entity; when in fact this entity is associated with the Beast of Revelation and the number 6, the number of man.

Once you see the connection to the number 666 it will lead to one incredible conclusion: The Bible does indeed reveal the true identity of the Antichrist Beast! No more guessing, no more questions, you will know for sure that the Bible holds the key to his identity. Then all of that foolish speculation will finally end!

ARE YOU LISTENING TO THE SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS? by Jeff Wingo

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven (Jesus Christ, Luke 21:11).

Before Jerusalem fell to the Roman army in A.D. 70 several historians took note that the skies over the city were filled with strange sights, and the Temple complex was also affected by unusual lights and eerie ghostly voices coming from the area near Great Altar. According to several ancient chroniclers that I looked at, the events Josephus wrote about in the following quotes took place during the year A.D. 66. Church historian Eusebius says these signs preceded the coming of the Roman war against the Jews. I believe it can be said that the Romans began to surround Jerusalem shortly after these signs were produced.

“Thus there was a star resembling a sword, which stood over the city, and a comet, that continued a whole year. Thus also before the Jews’ rebellion, and before those commotions which preceded the war, when the people were come in great crowds to the feast of unleavened bread, on the eighth day of the month Xanthicus, [Nisan,] and at the ninth hour of the night, so great a light shone round the altar and the holy house, that it appeared to be bright day time; which lasted for half an hour. This light seemed to be a good sign to the unskillful, but was so interpreted by the sacred scribes, as to portend those events that followed immediately upon it.”

“Moreover, the eastern gate of the inner [court of the] temple, which was of brass, and vastly heavy, and had been with difficulty shut by twenty men, and rested upon a basis armed with iron, and had bolts fastened very deep into the firm floor, which was there made of one entire stone, was seen to be opened of its own accord about the sixth hour of the night. Now those that kept watch in the temple came hereupon running to the captain of the temple, and told him of it; who then came up thither, and not without great difficulty was able to shut the gate again. This also appeared to the vulgar to be a very happy prodigy, as if God did thereby open them the gate of happiness. But the men of learning understood it, that the security of their holy house was dissolved of its own accord, and that the gate was opened for the advantage of their enemies. So these publicly declared that the signal foreshowed the desolation that was coming upon them.”

“Besides these, a few days after that feast, on the one and twentieth day of the month Artemisius, [Jyar,] a certain prodigious and incredible phenomenon appeared: I suppose the account of it would seem to be a fable, were it not related by those that saw it, and were not the events that followed it of so considerable a nature as to deserve such signals; for, before sun-setting, chariots and troops of soldiers in their armor were seen running about among the clouds, and surrounding of cities. Moreover, at that feast which we call Pentecost, as the priests were going by night into the inner [court of the temple,] as their custom was, to perform their sacred ministrations, they said that, in the first place, they felt a quaking, and heard a great noise, and after that they heard a sound as of a great multitude, saying, “Let us remove hence.” Josephus, Wars of the Jews, Book 6: 5:3. The Roman historian Tacitus also commented about these strange signs as well:

“13. Prodigies had occurred, but their expiation by the offering of victims or solemn vows is held to be unlawful by a nation which is the slave of superstition and the enemy of true beliefs. In the sky appeared a vision of armies in conflict, of glittering armour. A sudden lightning flash from the clouds lit up the Temple. The doors of the holy place abruptly opened, a superhuman voice was heard to declare that the gods were leaving it, and in the same instant came the rushing tumult of their departure. Few people placed a sinister interpretation upon this. The majority were convinced that the ancient scriptures of their priests alluded to the present as the very time when the Orient would triumph and from Judaea would go forth men destined to rule the world.” (Histories, Book 5, v. 13).

The church historian Eusebius reiterates the main sign: For before the setting of the sun chariots and armed troops were seen throughout the whole region in mid-air, wheeling through the clouds and encircling the cities. (Eusebius Church History, Book 3, chapter 8).

THE SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS

What are we to make of all this. If you are like me, I find it absolutely intriguing. Lets take another quick look at the signs.

A star that resembles a sword.
A comet that lasted for a year.
A strange bright light shining for a half hour around the altar and the Temple complex.
Heavenly chariots seen gathering over Jerusalem and the surrounding area among the clouds of the sky.
Heavenly beings with the appearance of human soldiers clothed in armor marching among the clouds over and around the city.
These heavenly chariots and armored soldiers appearing in the clouds of heaven over Jerusalem and many other cities in Israel.
Tacitus adds that the soldiers in armor seemed to appear to be like armies gathered for a war or conflict in the sky.
An earthquake like shaking .
A loud noise, and a noise like a multitude of voices speaking at once.

Are these signs the very signs that Jesus spoke about? One thought that ran across my mind is that in the infinite mercy and grace of God he will send warnings of impending judgment. As I state in my book, Alien Antichrist, I do not believe God would set such a severe judgment in motion (in reference to the Tribulation and the Antichrist Beast), without warning His people, and the people of the Earth. God has indeed already warned the people of Earth through His Word, the Bible, but He also has a way of warning through various types of signs–strange signs.

Lets look at the prophecy of Jesus again:

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven (Luke 21:11).

The part of this verse I want to focus on are the words, fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Fearful sights, Strong’s G5400 – phobētron: that which strikes terror, a terror, (cause of) fright. Fearful sight.

The word phobētron only occurs one time in the New Testament (KJV). So it is not a common word. It is derived from another word phobeō (Strong’s G5399), which means to terrify or frighten; to be afraid, be struck with fear; to be seized with alarm. It is used to describe those startled by strange sights or occurrences.

Great signs, great (megas) signs, (Strong’s G4592 – sēmeion), referring to: a sign, prodigy, or portent, i.e., an unusual occurrence, transcending the common course of nature; of signs portending remarkable events soon to happen.

By these definitions it is easy to see that when prophetic signs in the heavens do begin to occur they are intended to get everyone’s attention; the sights and sounds, by their very nature something unusual, in other words, something so startling that it strikes terror in the heart of those who see it.

Luke 21:26: Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

The powers of heaven refers of course to the fallen powers that dwell in the heavens around the Earth, the satanic powers or fallen angels. We could also say that the powers of heaven shall be moved, or put in motion. In this case it is possible the fallen powers will be agitated to gather for war, possibly just like the powers were shaken, or called to arms during the intervening period of time before God sent the human armies of Rome as judgment against the rebellious nation of ancient Israel because they rejected their Messiah.

Luke 19:43-44: For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

What about us? The day of our visitation is here now, at this time, and has been since the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended like a mighty rushing wind that filled the house where the disciples were staying; He also visually manifested as cloven tongues of fire, resting upon the disciples.

What signs will we see in the heavens? Will we see armies gathered for war? Will we see chariots of fire running among the clouds of the sky? Will we see signs in the heavens such as the flaming sword that was seen by the citizens of Jerusalem?

Will we see armies and chariots of fire in the heavens, or are we already seeing these things with the modern manifestation of UFOs? Will these signs intensify and become more aggressive in the future? What about the strange noises people are hearing all over the globe? Will this intensify as well as we move forward into prophetic time?

I think we should realize that we are seeing all kinds of signs, but are we really seeing? Are we really listening?

Matthew 13:14-16: And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

It is interesting to note that before the Roman armies surrounded Jerusalem, Christians living in Jerusalem, and the surrounding area, actually left. According to historical writers, Eusebius and Epiphanius, they went to the other side of the Jordan River to a city named Pella.

“For when the city was about to be taken and destroyed by the Romans, it was revealed in advance to all the disciples by an angel of God that they should remove from the city, as it was going to be completely destroyed.”

—Epiphanius, On Weights and Measures 15

“From there it took its beginning after the exodus from Jerusalem when all the disciples went to live in Pella because Christ had told them to leave Jerusalem and to go away since it would undergo a siege. Because of this advice they lived in Perea after having moved to that place, as I said.”

—Epiphanius, Panarion 29,7,7-8

The people of the Church in Jerusalem were commanded by an oracle given by revelation before the war to those in the city who were worthy of it to depart and dwell in one of the cities of Perea which they called Pella. To it those who believed on Christ traveled from Jerusalem, so that when holy men had altogether deserted the royal capital of the Jews and the whole land of Judaea…”

—Eusebius, Church History 3, 5, 3.

Are you listening? You see, an important part of this lesson is that the disciples and others following Christ not only discerned the strange signs in the sky and around them. They also studied prophecy, and because of their knowledge of the words of Jesus, when they saw the armies of the heavens surround Jerusalem, they understood that it was time to flee just as Jesus said almost 40 years previous.

Luke 21:20-22: And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. For these be the days of vengeance (judgement) that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Is it possible that we are nearing the days of vengeance in the 21st century? Are you listening?

CREATION OF THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST by Jeff Wingo

The book of Revelation reveals that one day in the future the human mind will undergo a radical transformation. Let’s take a look at Scripture which reveals that a terrifying new reality will grip the human soul and spirit during the time of the Great Tribulation.

Revelation 13:12: And he (the False Prophet) exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

How is it going to happen that the False Prophet will cause almost everyone on Earth to worship the Beast? It is interesting to note that the English word causeth (or made in some translations) in the Greek literally means “to make, with the name of the thing made.” {1}

In other words, the False Prophet is going to compel people to use the name of the Beast, possibly like a mantra, in order to create or make the image of the Beast; and this image will appear directly in the human mind; deep in the secret places of the soul where the imagination center resides.

Revelation 13:15: And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

The False Prophet has the power to give life or pneuma (spirit) to the image which is created deep in the imagination center of the human mind. So in essence, the image is animated in the mind by means of a powerful spiritual experience with the spirit of the Beast through the False Prophet. It is in this way that a person may open their mind (soul) and spirit to receive the image, but also that they may experience first hand the pneuma or spirit of the Beast in an emotional way through the intermediary assistance of the False Prophet.

This creation of the image has an Old Testament precedent in the book of Daniel.

Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon… Then an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages, that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up (Daniel 3:1, 4-5).

Here we see a physical, material, representation of the image of the Beast. Often in the Old Testament the physical and material things are a picture of something spiritual in the New Testament. For instance, in the Old Testament the Temple was a stone building, and in the New Testament the Temple is the human body.

1 Corinthians 6:19: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

In addition, we see the image that Nebuchadnezzar set up in the plain of Dura. Dura literally means “dwelling, the place where you inhabit” {2}, and so the principle here is that the worship of the image is going to take place in the place of dwelling, or, where you dwell as a person–in your dwelling place, your body, in your mind–that’s where worship begins, as a choice of the will in the human mind, and in the heart, the emotional center.

Notice also that the worship takes place in a province of Babylon. Babel, or the origin of Babylon means confusion, or confusion by mixing, and so the worship of the image takes place in the dwelling, the place where you inhabit, by confusion, or the confused spiritual idolatry of Babylon empowered by the spirit of the Beast.

Interestingly, the worship of the Beast in Revelation 13 takes place in a New World Order called Babylon the Great, or, an even greater confusion caused by the spirit of the Beast in the Last Days.

In ancient Babylon the people were called to worship the image by 6 musical instruments–the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer. So, the image is 60 cubits high, six cubits wide, and the music, or stimulation to worship is created by 6 musical instruments.

That is of course a picture of the infamous triple 6–666, the number of the Beast, 666. No one may buy or sell in Babylon the Great unless he has the “mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name” (Rev. 13:17).

Do you see it? To participate in Babylon the Great a person must have the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

So we are back to the name of the Beast, and as we saw earlier the image is created in the imagination center of the human mind by the name of the thing to be created, or the name of the Beast. It may be possible that the image is created by using the name of the Beast like a mantra to stimulate the mind to open up to the pneuma or spirit of the Beast.

The word imagination is used in the Bible (KJV) 14 times in 14 verses. In only one verse is it used in a positive way. All other uses of the word refer to the evil or wickedness of the imagination of mans heart. It refers to the intellectual framework of man, to purpose, to form (thought), a graven image (in the mind). {3}

Of course there is a good use of the imagination such as in creating and producing, but the Bible uses the word to describe the capacity of the human mind to create evil and wicked things, deep in the imaging center of the human mind for the purpose of idolatry.

That is why I titled my book, Alien Antichrist–The Terrifying Truth about UFOs and Aliens, Antichrist, and the End of Days. Because this scenario, if it is correct, will literally be TERRIFYING, because once the image is burned into the imagination center of the human mind, THERE IS NO ESCAPE.

The Beast will own the person spirit, soul, and body who submits to this worship in the place of dwelling, or the human mind; and at the End of Days billons of people will be eager to seek out this experience, the delusion will be that powerful. It will be terrifying to be enslaved by the Beast, which ultimately is enslavement by the spirit and power of Satan. When the Beast decides to call the faithful of his cult to worship he will use the False Prophet as an intermediary to administer a satanic stimulation through the spirit of the Beast.

That is why most of the world will worship the Beast and the Dragon, because they willingly submit to the False Prophet and receive a satanic initiation into devil worship and the cult of the Dragon and the Beast (Revelation 13:4).

What happens to those who receive the image and the mark and worship the Beast? Here is what Scripture says:

Revelation 14:9-11: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Whatever you do, do not take the mark of the Beast or open your mind to receive the image. Surprisingly, there are many Christian preachers and teachers these days who are telling people that if they receive the mark of the Beast, and worship the image, God will forgive them and they can still be saved. Here me on this: THEY ARE LYING TO YOU! {4}

Those who teach this false doctrine usually believe in a pre-tribulational rapture, and they are giving false hope to people. Yet the Bible is clear on both points–the church will be on the Earth during the Great Tribulation and those who take the mark and receive the image will be spiritually ruined, and will spend eternity with the Beast and the False Prophet in the Lake of Fire.

Believe the Bible, believe Revelation 14:9-11, and refuse the teaching of anyone who contradicts the Bible. I don’t care who they are or how famous they are, or how big their church is. Just believe the revealed Word of God, not the misleading lies of men.

Eternity is forever, spend it with Jesus!

EMBRACING THE BEAST by Jeff Wingo

Those who desire to follow Christ as a true biblical disciple will find that the world will not appreciate your efforts, no not in the least. I think of the recent Christian martyrs in the Middle East and elsewhere. It seems that the spirit of antichrist is gaining more power and influence to destroy the witness of Christ.

Some of those martyred may not belong to the same church group that I do, but nonetheless, if they had faith in Christ, His sacrifice on the cross for their sin, and faith in the power of His resurrection, then they are just as much a Christian as I am.

Now, that does not mean that I subscribe to the ecumenism of the Roman church, other mainline denominations, or any denomination for that matter. The religious systems that most of them espouse these days are mostly anti-biblical, but that does not diminish the plain and simple faith of those who have discovered true saving faith in the power of the gospel apart from religious acts and rituals of the flesh .

To be clear, I believe in the simplicity of the Christian faith. Jesus never meant that to be saved from the power of sin required great devotion to a church system, eating a communion wafer, climbing a 1,000 steps on ones bloody knees to kiss the feet of a crumbling, decaying statue of a long dead saint, or other works including baptism. Baptism itself does not save, nor does it turn a sinner into a saint. At that point all you have is a wet sinner with a false sense of salvation.

The Bible is clear that to be saved from sin requires only faith in the gospel which is this: Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures…(1 Corinthians 15:1-4).

That is the gospel of Christ, and salvation begins with simple faith that Christ obtained that salvation when He was on the cross–He took the wrath of God that I deserved. Jesus is our sin-bearer, He became that sin before God the Father and the Father poured out His wrath in so much power that Jesus lost the sense of His Fathers presence.

My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? Matthew 27:46

What more could I add to that? Truthfully, there is nothing I can add and that is why religious systems and works of the flesh will never produce salvation; because those things are an attempt to work around the simplicity of the gospel. If works could produce eternal salvation then Christ would not have faced the cross. At that point the cross would be a worthless act. But the cross is far from worthless–it is actually the power of salvation:

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16).

So we are back to the simplicity of the cross. The gospel of Christ is the power of salvation. Not works, not baptism, not the cup of wine or the communion wafer, or the blessing of a preacher or a priest–the GOSPEL and ONLY THE GOSPEL.

“For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Not of works lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Faith and only faith in the gospel produces the power of God leading to the salvation of a sinner–“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

Paul said that the word of faith for salvation is in your heart and in your mouth–“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach” (Romans 10:8).

And that faith, that simple faith, is able to produce salvation because it believes the simple gospel message:

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:9-10, 13).

When I saw the video a few months ago of the Egyptian Coptic Christians being beheaded for their faith in Christ by ISIS several of the men said, “Yeah, Lord Jesus Christ.” Think of that for a moment–“Yeah, Lord Jesus Christ.”FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED! Its that simple, yet it is also that profound.

Why I have I called this post Embracing the Beast? Its simple. The world and the world system that lies in the lap of the evil one refuses to bow the knee to the only one who can save from the power of sin. Instead they embrace the philosophy and religion of the Beast, which is a Dragon, that Serpent of old, the Devil, who refused the God of heaven and in turn he became a Beast.

The world system hates the simplicity of the gospel of Christ, and so those who choose the Beast act like the Beast, who was a murderer from the beginning.

God sent John the Baptist as a prophet, the last of the Old Covenant prophets, and he was beheaded by a beast named Herod (Mark 6:16).

Herod is just a prophetic picture of the Beast, and the Beast system called Babylon the Great. At the end of days a Beast will rise from the depths of the abyss and bring ruin and destruction to humanity. But before that there is one thing this Beast will do: He will compel his followers to join the Beast system and receive an image in their mind, and a mark on their flesh (Revelation 13: 15-17).

Those who follow the Beast will be branded in their soul, and in their flesh, just like common cattle; and they will become beasts. In that way, those who follow the Beast will fully embrace their godless master: and become marked beasts themselves.

What of those who simply believe the saving gospel of Christ? They will not embrace the Beast and so they will be beheaded–just like the Coptic Christians who simply by faith called upon the name of the Lord–“Yeah, Lord Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 20:4:

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Will you by faith believe the simple gospel of Christ, or will you embrace the system of the Beast?

Choose life, choose Christ. But be warned: those who refuse the Beast system will face the fires of persecution. Once the Holy Spirit releases His restraining power this world system will degenerate into Babylon the Great. And the Beast system will begin the work of its evil master, who is the epitome of what it means to be a Beast.

Embrace Jesus Christ and by faith believe the gospel. Yes, true Christians will suffer persecution, but for those who are saved a glorious future is waiting, because “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

By now some of you may have seen articles about the revealing of several old Kodachrome slides in an auditorium in Mexico on May 4, 2015, which supposedly show the remains of an alien found in New Mexico at the Roswell flying saucer crash site in July of 1947.

If you have seen those pictures and know about the event then you also understand that it must have been a great let down for many people in the UFO community who are longing to have tangible proof that extraterrestrial aliens are real; and proof that the Roswell crash was an authentic UFO event hastily covered up and shrouded in mystery by the United States military since that fateful afternoon in July 1947.

It is particularly sad because so many people long to see real proof that aliens are real, and it also attest to the fact that so many people are willing to part with their hard-earned money for what they hope is solid proof to validate their belief. Unfortunately, they are grasping at straws with this one.

As a researcher who has looked at the alien issue for a long time I understand their anticipation. I knew about this event and like so many other people I was waiting to see what the slides revealed before making any comment. I wasn’t disappointed though because I understand the nature of the UFO enigma, that is what this blog is all about. I feel like a lone ranger out here trying to shout the truth from the house-top, I just hope that my meager efforts are able to help someone escape from this kind of UFO and alien madness.

I just knew that whatever proof surfaced it was going to turn out to be an “epic fail” as so many have labeled the event. And truly it was an epic fail. My question is, why did the hosts of the event lead so many people on for so long, knowing that the supposed smoking gun was nothing more than an old Kodachrome photo of a child mummy in a museum some place in the world? Or, that the two slides in question were of a model someone put together, perhaps to display in a carnival sideshow?

Folks, the alien myth isn’t true, it is just that, a myth. We have been led on by lies, deceit, CIA cover stories for Black Ops, psychological experimentation, and a host of other nefarious reasons. But the real reason is that we have allowed our culture to dictate our belief systems so much, that many people will go on believing aliens are real in spite of the fact that proof is never found. And when some bit of evidence supposedly does surface it always seems to turn out to be a lie, and a great let down just like this event.

The possible answer (and more than likely the truth of the matter), of the Roswell crash of 1947 is this: After World War Two, the United States through Project Paper Clip imported a rather large group of Nazi scientists, bringing them to the States to take advantage of their scientific knowledge and highly developed German rocket technology. In fact, the U.S. was forced to do this rather than have these Nazi scientists fall into the hands of the Russians.

On the other hand, Russia also took advantage of the situation and brought a great number of Nazi scientists to Russia as well. Two German aerospace engineers who were brothers, Walter and Reimar Horton developed an aircraft that did not have wings or a tail, it was a true flying disk. Two of these flying saucers flew across the Bering Straight into Alaskan airspace and down the western part of the United States eventually crashing in New Mexico; one of them was the flying saucer found by Mac Brazel on the Foster ranch 30 miles north of Roswell New Mexico.

This kind of aircraft may have been what Kenneth Arnold spotted near Mount Rainer Washington on June 24, 1947 just days before the Roswell event, as the craft he described perfectly fit the description of the Horton flying disk.

At first the it seems impossible that aircraft of this nature could have been developed in the 1940’s, but you may check out the facts for yourself in a very interesting book by Annie Jacobsen called, AREA 51, An Uncensored History of America’s Top Secret Military Base .

For interesting details about the Horton brothers see pages 37-44 of Jacobsen’s book. It details insider information regarding the Horton brothers and their highly advanced flying disk. In fact, the Horton flying wing was more advanced than anything seen by U.S. Air Force engineers, and this surprised and worried Army intelligence at the time. It worried them much that they searched all over Europe in order to locate Walter and Reimar so that they could find out more information about their advanced aircraft technology. Truth be known, this aircraft was reverse engineered at Area 51 and the information gleaned from the Horton aircraft eventually led to the development of the high-flying U-2 spy plane and later on America’s stealth aircraft technology.

As a side note, this technology and similar craft are probably what witnesses have seen hovering in and near Area 51 over the years. I suspect it is a very good chance that our military has an operational flying disk and they may have more than one. If that is the case it is more than likely a very advanced aircraft when compared to the original Horton concept. If they do have such an aircraft it may indeed operate like a flying saucer as imagined in science fiction; and this in turn may have led many UFO witnesses to believe that what they saw was a real extraterrestrial flying saucer; when unbeknownst to them it was an American military aircraft whose design was engineered from the original concept of the Horton flying wing.

That’s really all that can be said about Roswell, or the Roswell slides. I am sorry that the whole event was a bust, and a very great letdown for so many people. It should serve as a reminder that extraterrestrial aliens really do not exist at all, and any proof should be held at arm’s length, examined carefully, and taken with a grain of salt.

In the mean time we are still being conditioned by our culture, and fallen angels, to believe in extraterrestrial aliens. This should serve as evidence of one thing: we should examine our beliefs to see if we have fallen into the alien trap. We are facing a deep spiritual deception and we must be wise and very careful regarding UFO and alien phenomena.

The dangerous part of all this is that when Bible prophecy does start to play out, and when the Dragon and his fallen cohorts are cast from the heavens to Earth, billions of people will believe they are aliens (Revelation 12:7-9).

The important point to remember in all of this is that it will be very hard to deny the existence of extraterrestrials when they are standing right in front of you in the flesh, but in all reality it will be a tangible manifestation of evil, and the arrival of the Fallen Ones.

But if you have spiritual wisdom, and are armed with biblical truth, you will not be counted among those who will fall for this great spiritual deception. Because of the mercy and grace of Almighty God the Holy Spirit currently restrains the power of sin and evil in both humans and fallen angels.

But, the Apostle Paul warned us that once the Holy Spirit releases His restraining power all hell will break loose on Planet Earth (2 Thess.2:7-8). And when the end looks like it is near because of the overwhelming madness of human sin, the alien savior happens to show up! Oh, how clever the Fallen Ones are, and how simple humans can be, when in the presence of pure evil and because of spiritual blindness, humanity will be unable to see evil in its fullest manifestation, even when it is standing right in front of them in the flesh.

Don’t fall for the alien lie, don’t allow the false prophets of the alien community to lead you astray like sheep to the slaughter. Seek after the wisdom and knowledge of God. For in Christ Jesus dwells the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and He is the Truth, in contrast to the alien lie and the lies of the alien false prophets.

As it turns out the “alien” in the Roswell slides is in reality the mummified remains of a 2 year old Native American child. The remains were on display years ago at the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum in Mesa Verde, Colorado. They have since been removed from the museum out of respect for Native Americans and common decency. It is a shame that this deceased child was used to further the alien agenda. The alien myth is so entrenched that one of the readers who left a comment still blames the government for covering up the truth in the Roswell crash. Folks, it wasn’t an interplanetary craft that crashed at Roswell in 1947: it was either a Project Mogul high altitude balloon , or as I state in this article, it may have been a Horton flying wing aircraft as revealed by Annie Jacobsens book on Area 51.

The alien myth will turn out to be a deep spiritual deception one day.

“I was reading an article the other day by Leslie Kean and Ralph Blumenthal at the Huffington Post titled, John Podesta: Pulling Back the Curtain on UFOs. It details the efforts of Podesta and others to somehow convince government insiders to release more information about UFO phenomena.

Of course the official stance of the U.S. government since the shutdown of Project Bluebook in 1969 is to deny there is any official interest in the subject at all. Since the Air Force determined that UFOs do not present a national security risk, they dropped the subject like a hot potato and refuse to acknowledge anything else.

In spite of official denials, many military officials, generals, pilots, etc., have already gone on record regarding their experience with the phenomena through gatherings at the National Press Club, and recently through the Disclosure Project of Dr. Steven Greer. So given that, it is established that many UFOs are real, and do represent an actual phenomena that defies all rational explanation.

The article goes on to state that, “The phenomenon’s physical reality is now firmly established. But its nature and origin remain a problem.”

Reading a book called, Flying Saucer to the Center of Your Mind: Selected Writings of John Keel, Keel states in an article (chapter 22, The Secret Tape to the Congress of Scientific Ufologists), that it was his opinion that the United States military and other related government entities probably had the UFO phenomena figured out in 1946 (or at least by the 1950’s).

According to Keel the phenomena is related to the Earth, in other words, it has always been here, interacting with mankind in one way or another. Keel in his book Operation Trojan Horse even went so far as to say that the phenomena is probably demonic in origin, or is at least similar in nature.

“The UFO manifestations seem to be, by and large, merely minor variations of the age-old demonological phenomena.” {1}

With that said, I also believe Air Force personnel (and others in the government) were intelligent and discerning enough back in the 1940’s, or at least by the end of Project Bluebook in 1969, to have figured out the spiritual nature of the UFO phenomena, just as John Keel, Jacques Vallee, and others also came to understand its deceptive nature.

I say that because back in those days, a Christian understanding of the nature of the spiritual world was more prevalent at that time among the general population than it is today. Perhaps at that time someone of authority realized, like Keel, that UFOs are related to the “age-old demonological phenomena,” and with that determination they decided to back away from it altogether, at least publicly; because as a national authority, and the guardians of the nation, they just could not come right out and say–its demons folks! So officially the Air Force determined that UFOs do not pose a national security risk and abandoned it altogether.

Once they determined it could not be controlled, I wonder if they tried to harness it somehow? And I wonder if they are tracking its activity to this day, perhaps monitoring it for changes? Or, did they really just walk away from it altogether? I am of the opinion that they are still interested in UFO and related phenomena in some capacity. I cannot believe that interested parties would abandon such power, if there were only a way to tap into it somehow (Think of Faust, who made a pact with the Devil for access to unlimited knowledge).

The reason I ask these questions is because I also wonder if they realize that it does indeed pose a great risk to the security of the United States, and to the rest of the world. It does present a very strong risk because the nature of the phenomena will drastically change at some point in the future, and I wonder if government entities realize this and will adjust accordingly? I highly doubt it at this point in time, more than likely no one is paying any attention because they have other priorities, and rightly so, given our present circumstances, and the worldview of the present Administration which seems to be fully antichrist in nature.

It is a biblical truth that the UFO phenomena will change so dramatically that the entities behind it will actually physically manifest in our time, space dimension. It was revealed to the prophet Joel that our planet will be invaded by a monstrous swarm of locusts, and they in turn will devour everything on Earth. Indeed, Joel said that never in the history of planet Earth has anyone ever seen anything like this invasion force, a force that he said God refers to as “my great army.”

Joel chapter 1:

The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel. Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

Joel ask the question, has anything like this ever happened before in your days or even in the days of your fathers? The answer is of course no, because this invasion is unlike anything that currently exists on planet Earth. Joel goes on to say that this information needs to be passed down through the generations:

Vs.3: Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.

What Joel says next is interesting because he explains the different types of invaders.

Vs.4: That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

The palmerworm is a gäzäm’, a creeping locust, without wings. It also implies that it is a devourer, a destroyer.
Locust is an ‘arbeh, or swarming locust. They devour anything in their path, stripping trees, bushes, crops, etc. They pass over walls and enter the doors and windows of houses.
Cankerworm is yeh’lek a young type of locust which means to “lick up.”
Caterpillar is a chaciyl which is a non-winged locust that means to consume, devour.

As you can see each locust is one who strips and devours the bark and vine, in fact, anything green they consume. Next Joel gives a dire warning about the locust, because most people aren’t prepared to deal with this severe judgment.

Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.

Wine represents plenty and joy, and it appears that the days of plenty and days of joy are come to an end. Next Joel describes this army in more detail.

Vs.6: For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

When Joel wrote these words he may have been referring to an actual locust invasion of the land. If that is true, it provided a clear, unmistakable picture for the future–because in verse 15 he brings this prophecy to a period in time called the day of the Lord. The phrase day of the Lord occurs 19 times in the Old Testament and always refers to the period of judgment that will occur before the return of Christ.

Comparing Joel’s description with John’s Revelation we begin to see a complete picture of this great nation–because the locusts of John’s vision also are pictured as a mighty army with teeth like a lion.

Rev. 9:3, 7-9: And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.

John says these locust beast have an appearance of horses prepared for battle. Compare Joel’s description in chapter 2:

Vs.4: The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.

Joel places his locusts near the Day of the Lord, and John is writing of the coming invasion by locusts creatures released from the abyss. I think we may conclude that Joel and John are writing about the same army. An army of invaders who will devour the land and fill the Earth with destruction.

It is clear that this is an army of intelligent creatures because they have a king over them called Abbadon and Apollyon.

Rev. 9: 11: And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

It is interesting to note that Abbadon means Destruction and Apollyon means Destroyer.

When this invasion occurs nothing will remain untouched on Earth because the Destructive Destroyer will devour everything. Just like the locusts of Joel’s vision they will strip the life out of every nation on Earth, including the United States of America.

Joel says this great army is “a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations” (Joel 2:2).

Even Jesus said the Great Tribulation will be unlike anything that has ever happened in all of the history of Earth, there really is nothing to compare with this period of time called the Day of the Lord. “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be” (Matt.24:21).

I wonder if the United States military will reverse their position on UFOs when this invasion hits the shores of America?

Even so, come Lord Jesus, even if it means we have to face the Great Tribulation.
