The seven billion+ people of planet Earth have a true and real hope because God gave us the greatest gift of all–a Savior to set us free from the bondage of sin and death. But we must receive the gift, so believe the gospel and be saved! Jesus was born of a virgin, fulfilled the Law, died on the cross for our sins, arose victorious from a borrowed tomb, hundreds of witnesses saw Him, and He ascended on high to the right hand of the Father.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:11).
And every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:11).

THE HOPE OF THE WORLD: MERRY CHRISTMAS

Adoration of the Shepherds, by Rembrandt, 1646.

Adoration of the Shepherds, by Rembrandt, 1646.

As dark as the world may seem at times the hope of the world shines through. Jesus Christ is that hope, the everlasting hope of the ages; and Christmas once again shouts to the world: The Light of the world has come!

Take a few minutes to reflect on the true meaning of the Christmas season. Life is not found in worldly riches, nor is it found in the earthly power of men.

Life, true life, and freedom of the heart and soul are found in only one person, the Man, Christ Jesus. The Son of God, and God the Son. The One who walks above the storms of nature and life. The One who stilled the stormy seas. The One who fed the multitude. The One who raised the dead. The One who holds out a nail scarred hand to the lost sinner. The One who heals the body and soul. The Great Physician who visits the sick, gives strength to the weak, and lifts the soul out of the sinful darkness of a lost world into His glorious light.

I hope you will agree with me that Jesus Christ is our All in All, and He alone provides salvation, hope, and healing for all who will believe.

1 John 5: 11-13:  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas.

Thanks for visiting.
