SYMBOLIC MEANING OF THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE By Jeff Wingo

The four horsemen of the Apocalypse in Revelation chapter 6, taken as a whole, provide a composite picture of the ominous ruler of end-time prophecy, the Antichrist. Each horse and rider also reveals an aspect of his character, and it also paints a vivid portrait of the Satanic endgame as well.
The White Horse
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.Revelation 6:1-2
And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.Revelation 6:3-4
And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.Revelation 6:5-6
And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.Revelation 6:7-8
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. Revelation 19:11-16
Apollyon may rule the earth during the Tribulation but Christ will return, rapture His saints, destroy the enemy, and inaugurate one thousand years of peace. The Son of David will rule the earth with a rod of iron, and all of His enemies will flee.
The white horse is the USA and the rest of English speaking Ephraim. The red horse is Islamic or muslim, middle eastern. The black horse signifies the complete redemption of the soul and body as the gentiles, 144000 virgins, Israel, and Judah are all purchased by the Lamb before great tribulation and wrath begin. the fourth horse begins the great tribulation period.

Thanks Kirkschrank,
I appreciate the your comments. While I do not agree with your assessment it is an interesting take on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I really don’t understand how the black horse, for instance could signify the complete redemption of the body and soul of the gentile when the black horse (which follows war) seems to imply famine and shortage of food. The scales and weighing in the balance always implies the judgment of God in the Bible. But thanks for your comments, I do appreciate them!
